Hello, I thought it's been a whilst since I actually introduced myself, so here goes...(although I love taking photographs of people, I really struggled to take my own. This took a few embarrassing attempts 😄)

My name is Jane, I photograph families, couples, children, and weddings. More recently I've enjoyed helping independent brands build their business through promotional images of themselves and their work. I know what it's like to try to promote yourself, so I hope to ease this slightly by showing off the incredible talent through my photography. I'd love to build this side of my business, so do get in touch! I also occasionally do 1:1's and workshops in photography.

There's more, I also teach photography at HE level (only 2 days a week now), I run my own yoga classes twice a week .withjane and have 2 small children!

Why do I do it to myself??...well, I absolutely love everything I do, and have spent too many years just working myself to the ground with teaching full time, so I thought it was my time, in my 40's, to go for it.

I've really tried to pour my all I to it, and it has been really hard work since I left teaching full time to do it, emotionally, financially and physically but the feedback, comments and reviews I get (god, I'm so bad at putting them on here!) are always so worth it. The best thing of all is my 6 year old writing her list of jobs she wants to do: a vet, a singer, a yoga teacher and photographer 😭

I love meeting people, finding out about them and their lives, because everyone's life is important and interesting. I've found out with some really hard times that life is way too short, and you have to appreciate, celebrate and love it to the max. Being a mother (and going through some tough times with this) has also burnt a passion in me to capture family images and create experiences for people to treasure. I'm currently looking into doing my MA in photography based around women/motherhood (a thing I've been wanting to do for a long time, and now feels like the right time).

Meet Holly from and some of her fantastic team ( I couldn't fit them all on, so I'm sure I'll add more later). I had the pleasure to photograph this amazing studio in Leeds, which is a spacious and welcoming place, and all the teachers there are lovely, each having their individual styles. I had such fun photographing them!

I am not only a photographer but a creative, a yoga teacher, an educator, a mum, sister and daughter, and much more. Within my work I hope to capture the spirit of all these within my clients, too, because every shoot is special to me.

COUPLES: Celebrating their 10 year anniversary with this photoshoot, these two had lots of fun wandering around with me in these gorgeous places surrounded by so much colour and gorgeous light.

NEWBORNS: They'll never be this small again! Tiny head, hands, and feet in this gorgeous home shoot.

This family shoot, taken in June, was a perfect way for the family to be captured in a relaxed, natural way. So adorable.

Home shoots mean that no one has to stress about getting somewhere on time (are we ever on time with kids!) or not having enough/the right things (your at home...baby sicks on the outfit, no probs hust grab another one from upstairs!) And mum doesn't have to leave the house if she's not ready to! I come to you, and you just sit back, play and cuddle.

If you want to have a newborn shoot, the best thing is to book a flexable date around 1 or 2 weeks after the due date. It's flexible because I know these babies have a schedule all of their own, so we can chop and change if needed.

Not only do I take your photographs but I'm also a teacher of photography.

Two days a week I teach HE students how to advance their skills with more splashes of creativity too.

I also hold many adult workshop too, showing you how to get the best out of your camera on manual settings, but you dont have to wait for me to hold a workshop, you can book your own if you have a group wanting to get together.

Also thrown in the teaching mix are 1:1 sessions, which can be a day or spread other 3-6 weeks, where we go for a wonder with our cameras and I help you with whatever images you'd like to capture.

NEWBORNS: This was such a gorgeous home shoot! Olivia and Nick welcomed me into their home with newborn Margot. Olivia said beforehand that there wasn't much space and an excitable dog, too! But she had nothing to worry about, the space had gorgeous light and I bought a light kit too, and Cooper the dog was on best behaviour. Between us, we worked around Margot's needs (feeds and the naked poo shot, which will be a talking point for Margot' 18th birthday, I'm sure!) and the results were just what the wanted. Olivia said afterwards that they weren't the sort of people who liked having their picture taken (who does!), but they couldn't believe how comfortable they felt after just a few minutes! That's my mission completed, to help people capture precious times without the awkward feeling of being infront of a camera
