Kate Williams, Reg. MBACP (Accred.), Level 4 Higher Diploma in Integrative Counselling, BSc (Hons) Reflective Therapeutic Practice, Level 4 Cert. Supervision
I work from The Barns Fitness Studios in Potton with teens and adults. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, low self esteem, loss and bereavement, loss of direction, self harm, eating disorders, relationship issues and trauma.
I provide a warm, safe and confidential environment for you to talk about your concerns and problems. I'll work with you to gain a deeper understanding of your issues and how they impact on you and your ways of coping. Via talking often new ways of being in the world or different choices emerge - these new choices will often support your wellbeing enabling you to live a more resourceful life Sometimes we can feel stuck, anxious, depressed, victimised and angry. Counselling can support you to work through these feelings in order to find peace and acceptance. I believe we all have the capacity to change and to lead a creative, expressive and resourceful life. I adopt a pro-active approach to counselling working with you, in an empathic and constructive environment, to uncover and recover your strengths, inner resources and sense of self in order to make lasting changes. I have been involved in the healing arts as a bodyworker since 1999 and as a counsellor since 2009; I have experience with children, teens and adults working with a variety of issues from anxiety, depression, relationships, current and historic trauma and loss and bereavement, as well as existential issues such as loss of direction and purpose.
