It’s been a lovely few days across our Saint Cecilia’s Care Homes - now the weather has warmed up...a little bit! 💙
At Jubilee House Nursing Home in Whitby, residents were able to enjoy a (slightly delayed) New Years afternoon party – proving it’s never too late to celebrate 🎉 P.S. Don't forget to follow their new page!
Meanwhile, over at the Nursing Home, creativity was flowing, with plenty of painting taking shape for the art board and a spot of Bingo was also on the cards! 🀟
Last but not least, one of the residents at the Care Home did his bit to help nature, by taking a bite to eat for the birds in the garden 🐦

What a busy and brilliant week at Saint Cecilia’s Care Home! 💛
The residents kicked things off with a fantastic Movement Morning at the wonderful Stephen Joseph Theatre - plenty of movement, laughter and smiles all round 🙌🎭
Back at home, it was time for the residents and staff to get their hands a little muddy as they planted bulbs and seeds, getting everything ready for the spring and summer months ahead 🌷🌱
Another week full of activity, fresh air and happy moments ☀️💚
Don't forget to follow the Saint Cecilia's Care Home page for more updates, direct from the home!

We were pleased to attend Prime Minister’s Questions yesterday, following an invitation from Alison Hume MP, Member of Parliament for Scarborough and Whitby.
Saint Cecilia’s Chairman, Mike Padgham, and Managing Director, Aaron Padgham, welcomed the opportunity to be at Westminster and to continue constructive conversations about the challenges facing social care.
We remain committed to working closely with our local MP and the UK Government to push for meaningful improvements to social care support, ensuring the sector is sustainable and able to deliver the high-quality care that people deserve.
Thank you to Alison Hume for the invitation and for her ongoing engagement with the social care sector.

The last couple of days at Saint Cecilia’s Care Home have been full of smiles, fresh air and a bit of quiz fun!
With the snow gone and the weather warming up ☀️, our residents enjoyed a lovely little wander around Peasholm Park and Scarborough sea front, joined by the ever-popular Oatis the dog.
Back in the warmth of the home, brains were put to the test during an afternoon of challenging quizzes – plenty of laughs, concentration and a few “aha!” moments too 🧠✨
It’s been wonderful to see everyone out and about, enjoying the brighter days and keeping both minds and bodies active 💙
