What a day to remember! 🏃‍♂️🎉

A huge congratulations to our Managing Director, Aaron, who absolutely smashed the London Marathon with an incredible finish time of 3 hours 20 minutes! 💪👏

We’re so proud of this amazing achievement – and even prouder that he’s done it all while raising money for such an important cause, supporting Dementia UK.

Aaron said “It's amazing to have completed the marathon in 3 hours 20 minutes. It was a warm one, and I’m definitely feeling it this morning, but it was an incredible experience from start to finish. I’m so proud to have done it for Dementia UK – and a huge thank you to everyone who donated to support such an amazing cause.”

We're also sharing some pictures from Saint Cecilia's Care Home , where residents were right behind him every step of the way, creating some fantastic handmade banners to show their support and watching the race live yesterday morning.

Well done, Aaron – you’ve done us all proud! 🙌

Tomorrow, our Managing Director Aaron is tackling the incredible 26.2 mile challenge of the 2026 London Marathon 🏃‍♂️ - and he’s doing it for a cause that means so much. 💙

Aaron is running to raise funds for Dementia UK, supporting families across the country who are facing the challenges of dementia every day. Every mile he runs helps to make a real difference.

If you’re tuning in, you can catch all the action live on BBC One and BBC Two throughout the day, with mass participation runners setting off from 9:30am - keep an eye out for Aaron (GBR 7214) 👀

You can also download the TCS London Marathon app in the App Store, which lets you track how much of the race each runner has completed!

Whether you’re planning ahead or facing an immediate care need, our team will be on hand to offer guidance and answer any questions you may have - from care funding and assessments to finding the right care solution for now or the future.

Sharing some more pictures from a fantastic St George's Day at Saint Cecilia’s Nursing Home yesterday! 🎶

Residents and families were treated to a brilliant live performance from the one and only Andy Knight - with plenty of toe-tapping, singing along, and smiles all round.

The 'St George’s Day Word Search' was also introduced… safe to say, it’s a hit and here to stay as a new annual tradition!

Our residents and staff have been getting well and truly into the spirit today - and let’s just say, the hats did not disappoint! 🎩

It’s been one of those days full of simple joys - great company, lots of giggles, and a chance to celebrate together in true Saint Cecilia’s style. ❤️

☕✨ Yesterday we celebrated National Tea Day at Saint Cecilia's Nursing Home… and it was a brew-tiful day!

Kath and the team pulled out all the stops, treating our fabulous residents to a wonderful selection of teas for sampling.

From the classic, much-loved Yorkshire Tea to a range of unusual herbal blends, there was something for everyone to sip and savour 🍵

Of course… no tea experience would be complete without a biscuit (or two!) 🍪 - because let’s be honest, it just wouldn’t be right otherwise!

🌸 Has spring finally sprung?🌸

The staff and residents at Saint Cecilia's Care Home have been super busy the last few days!

From crafting handmade kites to beautiful blossom tree finger painting that brought a touch of spring indoors 🌸🎨 - our residents have been wonderfully creative.

How lovely are these ideas?! It’s been such a joy to see imaginations take flight, paint-covered fingers at work, and plenty of laughter along the way 💕

Sharing some lovely pictures from Saint Cecilia's Nursing Home this week - Residents and the team have enjoyed a relaxing afternoon of colouring, with plenty of laughter, chatter, and some seriously impressive artistic talent on display 🖍️💛

And the celebrations didn’t stop there… we also marked a very special occasion as the wonderful Lillian turned 89 years young! 🎂🎉

There were smiles all around as we celebrated in style, making it a day to remember for everyone involved.

Happy Birthday, Lillian! 💐

Welcome to the Saint Cecilia’s family of care services. We offer a full range of award-winning care services for older and vulnerable adults in and around the Scarborough area.

We have been providing care in the Scarborough area for almost 30 years and have built a fine reputation for professional, compassionate care in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

A family-run business, we have four care homes: one offering dedicated and professional nursing care and three providing compassionate residential care, including dementia care. We also have a day care centre for fun, stimulating activities and excellent companionship.
