The Tea Dash rolls in to Whitby… and the next stop is Jubilee House Nursing Home! ☕🏃‍♂️🍰

Our Managing Director Aaron is continuing his Tea Dash challenge tomorrow at 3pm, bringing plenty of energy (and hopefully not too many spillages!) as he serves up tea and treats to our wonderful residents.

This is all part of Aaron’s fundraising journey in support of Dementia UK, and every cuppa poured is helping to raise vital funds for families affected by dementia.

Earlier this month, we were delighted to welcome Tristram Gardner, Deputy CEO and Nichola Greenwood, Locality Manager of Skills for Care at our Normanby House and Saint Cecilia's Care Homes.

It was a valuable opportunity for our teams to share their experiences, discuss the pressing challenges facing social care, and highlight how these issues impact daily life within our homes.

Tristram and Nichola also spent time speaking with residents and meeting colleagues to gain first-hand insight into the incredible work taking place across our services.

The visit concluded at Head Office, where they met with our Managing Director, Aaron Padgham, to continue important conversations about the future of social care and workforce development.

What a week it’s been across Saint Cecilia’s! 🥞💛

We’ve been looking back through the photos and wow… it’s been a busy one!

From lacing up our trainers for the Pancake Day Run, to plenty of pancake flipping fun back at the Nursing Home (yes, there were some very impressive flips from both residents and staff 👏), it’s been full of smiles and syrup!

But the kindness didn’t stop there… 💛

We also sprinkled a little extra joy with some Random Acts of Kindness - handing out chocolates and sponsoring coffees across Whitby, Pickering and Scarborough. There’s nothing better than seeing someone’s face light up over a surprise treat ☕🍫

Our Managing Director Aaron kept up his Tea Dash fundraising with a visit to Alba Rose Care Home in Pickering yesterday!

As part of his journey toward the London Marathon, Aaron is raising money for Dementia UK – and what better way to do it than serving up scrumptious cakes and delicious tea to our wonderful residents? ☕🍰

There were plenty of smiles, second helpings (of course!) and lots of chat as Aaron made his way around with the trolley. It’s safe to say his customer service skills are just as strong as his marathon training! 🏃‍♂️💙

Last Friday, we welcomed care team members and last years winners from across our homes in Whitby, Scarborough, and Pickering for a lovely spot of tea and some scrumptious cakes, expertly served by the Normanby House catering team 🍰☕.

We’re so excited to see the nominations start rolling in and can’t wait to celebrate the incredible colleagues who go above and beyond across our group. Who will be this year’s stars? 🌟

We’re still thawing out after this morning’s Random Acts of Kindness coffee giveaway outside Scarborough Hospital’s brand new Emergency Centre… but it was 100% worth it! ❄️☕

Despite the freezing temperatures, our wonderful friends at Nova Coffee kept the hot drinks flowing. There’s nothing better than a warm coffee on a chilly February morning – especially when it’s free!

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to grab a coffee, share a chat, and spread a little kindness with us today. And an extra thank you to those who agreed to have their photo taken – you helped make the day even more special 📸

🥞Flippin’ fantastic fun this morning as Saint Cecilia’s took part in the Scarborough Pancake Day Race in Scarborough!🎉

This isn’t just any race… it’s not only about speed, but also fancy dress, crowd entertainment AND how much pancake you can keep in the pan by the finish line! 😄

Huge shoutout to Aaron and Jordan, who absolutely smashed it – reaching the Grand Final and finishing as runners-up! 🥈👏

We may not have walked away with the Golden Frying Pan this year… but 2027 is calling and we’re flippin' ready! 😉🔥

Welcome to the Saint Cecilia’s family of care services. We offer a full range of award-winning care services for older and vulnerable adults in and around the Scarborough area.

We have been providing care in the Scarborough area for almost 30 years and have built a fine reputation for professional, compassionate care in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

A family-run business, we have four care homes: one offering dedicated and professional nursing care and three providing compassionate residential care, including dementia care. We also have a day care centre for fun, stimulating activities and excellent companionship.

Day Care
