We have another fantastic week ahead here at Toray Pines, packed full of activities for our residents to enjoy 💛

☕ Monday – Lions Coffee Morning & a fun Games Afternoon
🙏 Tuesday – Church Service followed by Baking & Be Great Fitness
🎈 Wednesday – Balloon Volley Ball (AM: Downstairs | PM: Upstairs)
🤝 Thursday – One to One sessions & our much-loved Bring a Buddy Lunch
🛍 Friday – Clothes For You shopping experience
🎤 Saturday – Karaoke Afternoon
💘 Sunday – Valentine’s Decoration Making

There’s plenty of opportunities for laughter, movement, creativity and meaningful moments throughout the week. Friends and family are always welcome to join us where possible 💬💕

We’re excited to announce the launch of our Fish & Chip Fridays, happening every other Friday, and we’d love for you to come and join us!

Today was all about karaoke, big smiles, and even bigger voices! From sing-along classics to toe-tapping favourites, the residents truly brought the Friday feeling and had us all laughing, clapping, and cheering along.

We’ve had a wonderful Bring a Buddy for Lunch Day here at Toray Pines 🥪✨
Our residents loved spending time with their buddies, enjoying lunch together, sharing stories and lots of laughter. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a special day.
We do this every Thursday, if you would like to join us please come along… just give us a ring and book a space.

This Valentine’s Day, we’re inviting people from all around the UK to help us bring some extra smiles to our wonderful residents at Toray Pines Care Home.

We would love to receive Valentine’s cards or postcards from different towns and cities – whether they’re bought, homemade, or a postcard from your local area. Each card helps spark conversations, memories and stories of places our residents may have once lived, visited on holiday, or held close to their hearts. ❤️

When our manager brings in her four-legged friend, of course he has to go and visit all of the residents 🐾💛

There were plenty of smiles, gentle cuddles and happy moments all around. Animals really do have a special way of brightening the day, and he certainly brought lots of joy to everyone he met.

Today we celebrated a very special day for one of the gentlemen here at Toray Pines 🎉🎂

He enjoyed being spoilt with lots of birthday wishes, smiles, laughter and of course a slice (or two!) of delicious cake. It was lovely to see him surrounded by friends and staff, making memories and enjoying his special day.

Today we were delighted to host an Intimacy within Dementia research workshop delivered by Lincoln University

It was a valuable and thought-provoking session, providing important insights, evidence-based guidance, and practical approaches to support best practice in dementia care, particularly around dignity, relationships, and person-centred support.

A huge thank you also to Sophie from Bays & Blaze Coffee for joining us and keeping everyone refreshed with her delicious hot coffees and teas throughout the day – even the staff had a hump day pick me up- a much-appreciated midweek treat for all involved.

A truly positive and productive day all round. ☕💙
