This winter, we’re opening our doors and hearts to our local community ❤️

If you’re aged 65 or over, you’re invited to join us for our Winter Warmer initiative — enjoy a hot, nourishing meal in the comfort of our homes up to three times a week.

With the cost of living rising, we know it’s not always easy to stay warm and well-fed — so we’re here to help. Come along for good food, warmth, and friendly company at Tanglewood Care Homes. ☕🍲

📍 Open to local residents aged 65+
🕒 Up to 3 visits per week

🌸 A huge thank you to Jeni 🌸

We’re so grateful to Jeni for hand crafting and gifting a beautiful fiddle blanket to our first-floor residents. As you can see, Jill was delighted to trial the blanket — and she thoroughly enjoyed exploring all its textures and features! 💜

Fiddle blankets (also known as sensory or activity blankets) are a wonderful support for people living with dementia. They help:

✨ Keep hands busy and minds engaged
✨ Provide comfort through familiar textures and repetitive movements
✨ Reduce restlessness and anxiety
✨ Encourage sensory stimulation and focus

Thank you again, Jeni, for your thoughtful and creative gift — it’s already bringing joy and calm to our residents! 💕🧶

🎳 Fun and Games at Toray Pines! 🎯

Our residents had a fantastic time playing bowling and ring toss today! There was plenty of laughter, friendly competition, and a few impressive strikes too! 😄👏
It’s always lovely to see everyone getting involved and enjoying a bit of fun and movement together. 💙

🍂✨ What a truly lovely afternoon we’ve had celebrating our Harvest Lunch! The food was absolutely delicious, and everyone really enjoyed every bite. The atmosphere was warm, cosy and full of smiles — the perfect way to come together and celebrate this special time of year. 🥰🌾

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make it such a wonderful, heartwarming afternoon! 🥮🧡

🎃🕷️ Halloween fun at Toray Pines! 🕷️🎃

We’ve been busy getting into the spooky spirit, making our very own Halloween spiders! 🕸️ Using polystyrene balls painted black, pipe cleaners for legs and some googly eyes, we created some truly creepy-crawly decorations!

There were lots of laughs (and maybe a few scares 😄) along the way — everyone did such a great job and our spiders look fang-tastic! 👻🕷️

💪 We had a GREAT time today with Be Great Fitness!
A big thank you to their amazing team for coming in and leading an energizing fitness session with our residents. 🧘‍♂️🏋️‍♀️ The energy was high, the music was pumping, and the smiles said it all! It’s always a joy to see our community moving, laughing, and taking steps toward better health together.
We’re so grateful for partnerships like these that support wellness and connection. Can’t wait to have Be Great Fitness back again soon! 💙
