What a lovely afternoon we’ve had here at Toray Pines today! ☀️🌿

Residents enjoyed some fresh air out in the garden, getting creative and making bird feeders – we can’t wait to see all the feathered visitors they bring in 🐦💛

Of course, no garden afternoon would be complete without a good cuppa and plenty of chats and laughter ☕️😊

To top it all off, we were treated to an amazing flypast from the BBMF – such a special moment for everyone to see and enjoy ✈️🇬🇧

Our Lifestyles Lead, Sophie, is taking on the Lakes Ultra 25km Challenge on 6th June 💙
Sophie will be walking 25km through the beautiful Lake District, from Kendal to Ambleside, all to raise funds for the residents at Toray Pines Care Home. Her goal is to fund an interactive tablet that will bring activities, memories, and meaningful moments to life — helping ensure everyone can feel included, engaged, and connected.
This isn’t just a walk — it’s 25km of dedication, compassion, and commitment to making a real difference in the lives of those we care for.
Every donation, big or small, will help bring joy, connection, and special experiences to our residents.

We had a very special visitor back with us…..the gorgeous Q 🐾💛

It’s always such a joy to have Q the therapy dog come and spend time with us. He has a wonderful way of making everyone’s day that little bit brighter, bringing smiles, laughter, and plenty of comfort to all our residents.

There were lots of cuddles to go around, and Q was more than happy to soak up all the love and attention – he really is a firm favourite here 🐶✨

We can’t wait for his next visit already!

We made the most of the beautiful sunshine today here at Toray Pines ☀️🌸

There’s nothing better than a cup of tea or coffee in the fresh air, so we took our drinks outside and enjoyed a lovely, relaxing time in the garden. The sunshine, the chatter, and a gentle breeze made it the perfect setting for plenty of smiles and good company 🌿☕️

Days like these really do lift everyone’s spirits – simple moments, shared together 💛

With the warmer months on the way, we’re looking forward to making this a regular treat and spending even more time enjoying our garden together

We are incredibly proud to be supporting one of our residents’ sons, Chris, as he takes on an amazing challenge for such a special cause 💙

Chris will be driving his tuk tuk all the way from Skegness to Blackpool over 3 days, raising money for Race Against Dementia – a charity that is very close to his heart, and to all of us here at Toray Pines.

We’d love for you to join us in supporting Chris on his journey! You can do this by sponsoring him, or by coming along to cheer him on when he makes a special stop here with us on 22nd May from 12pm. The highlight of the day will be when he takes his lovely mum, our Tina, for a spin in the tuk tuk before setting off again – we can’t wait! 🚖✨

This all takes place during Dementia Week, making it even more meaningful, and we’ll also have more activities and events planned throughout the week, so keep an eye out for updates 👀

Let’s come together as a community and show Chris just how much support he has behind him – we wish him the very best of luck on this incredible journey! 💙👏

Farmer Fred has been hard at work in our veg patch! 🌱🚜

Today he was busy putting up some CDs to help keep those naughty birds away from our growing veggies – a clever and colourful solution! 🌈✨

Fred was absolutely chuffed to be out in the fresh air, getting stuck in and helping to look after our garden. It’s safe to say the veg patch is now well protected… for now! 👀🐦

Well done, Fred – a top job as always! 👏💚

What an absolutely wonderful day out for our residents! 🎬✨

We had the pleasure of visiting The Kinema in the woods for a private screening, and what a fantastic time we all had! From the moment we arrived, there were smiles all around. Everyone enjoyed popcorn and a delicious ice cream during the interval – the full cinema experience! 🍿🍦

The most special part of the day was the nostalgia it brought. So many of our residents shared lovely memories of visiting this very cinema throughout their lives – from childhood trips, to first dates, to bringing their own children to watch films on the big screen. It truly was a trip down memory lane ❤️

There was plenty of laughter, clapping, and even some singing along to the music – such a joyful atmosphere! Safe to say, they’re already asking when we can go back again! 🎶👏

A massive thank you to the team at The Kinema for being so kind, patient, and attentive. You really made the experience extra special for us all, thank you to our staff members that came along to help, we really couldn’t do these trips without you and lastly thank you to Myley Tours and John our tour leader for the day, for always getting us there and back safely💛

🌍🌱 Happy Earth Day from all of us here at Toray Pines! 🌱🌍

To mark the occasion, we’ve made a lovely addition to our garden by installing some bug houses 🐞🐝 giving our little wildlife visitors a safe and cosy place to call home.

A big thank you to our wonderful gardener Dave for putting them up for us — we really appreciate all your hard work! 🌼

Our residents will love seeing what different types of bugs we attract.
