This week, we reached the milestone of raising more than THREE QUARTERS OF A MILLION POUNDS since our first prize draw nine years ago.
This is the ninth annual Christmas charity prize draw.
Nine years ago, after my mother-in-law died, I raffled a bottle of gin I had won and we raised £1500 for Cancer Research.
In 2017, we raised around £11,000 towards a memorial for Eilidh, of Barra, who had been killed in the Manchester bombing, and for inspirational Ali Repper of Aberdeen, who had died from a brain tumour.
In 2018, we raised £14,300 for Children’s Hospices across Scotland, in memory of wee 2 year old Daisy, and for Beatson Cancer Charity in memory of my lovely cousin, Deb, and my wonderful Dad.
In 2019, we raised £17,000 for Eilidh’s Trust, for Eilidh, and for The Brain Tumour Charity, for wee Dougal, Ali and Clive.
In 2020, we raised an astonishing £132,000 for Papyrus prevention of su***de in young people, in memory of young Corey, and for Eilidh’s Trust, in memory of young Eilidh.
In 2021, we raised an incredible £123,336 for Marie Curie nursing, Eilidh’s Trust and Western Isles Cancer Care initiative, in memory of young Ellie of North Uist.
In 2022, we raised a spectacular £136,524 for Glencoe Mountain Rescue, in memory of Dave, My Name’s Doddie in memory of Doddie, Eilidhs Trust and Abernecessities.
In 2023, we raised a record £138,514 for Beautiful Inside & Out SCIO, Calum’s Cabin, Eilidh’s Trust and Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance.
Last year, we raised an incredible £133,930 for Mikeysline, Team Jak Foundation, SARDA Scotland, and Eilidh’s Trust.
This year, we don’t yet know how much we will raise, but we are doing it for Brain Tumour Research, Brightest Star, Eilidh’s Trust, Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team and for all those suffering from loss, and for those in need of our support.
The prizes are great, but nothing matters more than people. We are running out of time. For just £2, YOU can make a difference: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/hope-blamire-christmas-charity-prize-draw-2025
