Your skin’s healing journey continues long after the wound closes — and there’s a lot you can do at home to support it. 💫

Here’s how to help your scars heal smoother, softer, and stronger:

💆‍♀️ Massage your scar:
Gentle, circular massage helps improve circulation and soften tissue over time. Stretching gently will be helpful. A professional Restore scar therapist can use a bigger variety of techniques.

💧 Stay moisturized:
Use silicone gels, sheets, or rich moisturizers to keep skin supple and reduce tightness.

☀️ Protect from the sun:
Always apply sunscreen — UV exposure can darken scars and slow healing.

🕰️ Be patient:
Scars can take months to mature. Consistency really does make a difference.

Everyone at Hope House is getting excited as we count down to our very special Wellbeing Day this weekend.
On Saturday, between 11am and 3pm, we're urging you to take some time for yourself and explore a fantastic range of therapies and services aimed at nourishing the mind, body and spirit.
Joining us on the day will be medium Chantelle Giles, offering mini readings, Deb from Ambassador Wellbeing (reiki and crystal healing), Susan Woodbridge (restore scar therapy), Jess Keyte (hand and arm massage), Trudy Norris (herbalist), Liv Leaning (sports massage therapist) and Joy Burkinshaw (Glow with Joy).
There'll also be the opportunity to meet and chat with the Hope House counsellors and take a look around our very special Wig Room.
