We don’t quit. We rebuild.
After my abdominal surgery in Oct 2024, it took me ages to even tolerate the bar sitting across my stomach again.
No plates.
No ego.
Just rebuilding.
Within 6 months I was back to my pre-op PB.
Not by luck.
By rehab done properly.
Then I hyperextended my knee.
Rehabbed it in three months.
Then I fell down the stairs and significantly injured my foot...(ffs accident prone or what 🤦🏼♀️)
Different injuries heal at different speeds.
Different bodies recover differently.
Existing conditions, life stress, sleep, pain, fear… they all matter.
Recovery is not linear.
It’s not neat.
And it absolutely isn’t “just give it time”.
This is why I coach rehab the way I do.
Because I live it.
Because I know what it feels like when injuries affect your training, your day-to-day life, your confidence, your sense of self.
When ADLs feel like a workout and the gym feels miles away.
I got myself back after surgery.
I got myself back after knee injury.
And I’m getting myself back after this foot injury too.
If you’re stuck in that space between “I used to” and “I want to again”, you don’t have to guess your way through it.
Come see me.
We’ll rebuild you without the faff, without waiting months “to see how it goes”, and without pretending it’s easy.
