🎶 Day 4 – Sussex Grange Does France 🎶

We’re a little late sharing this one, because yesterday was so full of fun even into the evening!

We enjoyed a fabulous French-themed Melody Lane – they looked and sounded the part, filling the home with music and plenty of joie de vivre. 🎵💙🤍❤️

🐸🐌 For the adventurous, local delicacies, frogs’ legs and escargots (that’s snails in French!) to taste – très brave! Reports are that both were very enjoyable!

🧀🍷 And of course, the evening ended perfectly with our Cheese & Wine Night – with each cheese and its French pronunciation beautifully introduced by Sam. From flavours to histories, Sam set the scene perfectly! Add in laughter, good company, and a real French flair, and it was the perfect way to end the day. Santé! 🥂

✈️ Today we’re finishing off our last holiday activities before getting ready for our 'flight home'. What a magnifique week it’s been – filled with much laughter, and memories to treasure. 💙🤍❤️

Day 3 – Bonjour from the Sunny South of France (with a little rain thrown in for good measure!) 🌧️

It wouldn’t be a true holiday without a few unplanned showers – but nothing could dampen our spirits today at Sussex Grange! 💙🤍❤️

Family Day was a huge success, thanks to all the little people who joined us and filled the room with so much joy, energy, and laughter. You made it extra special for our residents! 🥰 We got crafty with seaside-inspired creations and even held our very own snail races! 🐌

This afternoon our beautiful Holly became a live model for the residents’ sketching session (fully clothed of course 😉). Artists’ pencils at the ready, we had some incredible portraits take shape! 🎨✏️

🍴 Our French cuisine continues to be a roaring succès – absolutely délicieux!

The day was packed with smiles, laughter, and happy memories – proving that even with a little rain, our France holiday vibes shine through. 🌞🥖

Day Two of Our Holiday Week – Bonjour from Sussex Grange! ✨🇫🇷

Today our residents enjoyed a très magnifique line-up:
🎉 French Bingo (with très chic prizes!)
🍷 A cosy French café serving up delights
🥞 Fresh crêpes & 🥗 classic tuna niçoise

The café was filled with laughter, smiles, and plenty of “ooh la la’s!” 😋 Another successful day on our holibobs – and we’re only just getting started!

✈️🧳 Holiday Week Has Taken Off at Sussex Grange! 🥐🇫🇷

Boarding passes? ✅
In-flight safety briefing? ✅
Passport control (with the very serious Dee-Dee 😉)? ✅

This morning our lounge transformed into BA Flight to Paris! Residents enjoyed croissants and tea while “in the air,” armchair-travel style, and of course some fabulous in-flight entertainment too. 💺✨

From views at 30,000 feet to French delights on the ground, we’ve officially landed in France to start our holiday week. Everyone looked magnifique – what a way to kick things off! 💙🤍❤️

As the French say… Bon voyage! 🥰

GCSE Results Day!

A huge well done to our wonderful kitchen assistants who received their results today – we hope you’re proud of what you’ve achieved. 💚

And to everyone in our wider community who received their results, remember this: success isn’t only about grades. It’s about your effort, your courage, and the journey you’re on.

Whatever your results say on paper, you are capable of amazing things – and we’re cheering you on every step of the way. 💪💫

What a b-e-a-utiful week it’s been!

😎We hope you’ve all been able to soak up some of this glorious sunshine. This week we headed out to East Beach Kiosk – the weather was perfect, the sea breeze was refreshing, and the suncream was definitely a must! 🌊🕶️

Nothing beats good company, great views, and a little seaside treat. 💛

☀️ Sunny smiles all around!

On a day like this, there’s not much better to do than sit back, relax, and enjoy a delicious coffee in the sunshine.

Today, as The Commonwealth marks International Youth Day – recognising the incredible role young people play as changemakers, leaders, and drivers of progress – we’ve been inspired to share our own stories of youth. From shady garden chats to reminiscing about adventures gone by, we’re celebrating the spirit of youth that’s alive in all of us, no matter our age. 💛

Happy National Wiggle Your Toes Day! 🦶
Today, we put our best toes forward and incorporated this quirky national day into our weekly Brain & Body Exercise Session – and it was a toe-tapping success!

Our residents and guests got moving, laughing, and yes – wiggling – all in the name of fun, fitness, and foot awareness!

Did you know?
👣 Your big toe carries around 40% of your body weight when you walk
👣 Your pinky toe helps you stay balanced and stable
👣 Your toe prints are as unique as fingerprints
👣 There are 26 bones in each foot – 14 just in your toes!

Toes don’t get nearly enough credit, so today we made sure they got the spotlight they deserve! 🌟

It’s not too late to wiggle yours! Go on, give them a stretch and a shimmy! 😄
