The Bakery Of Slow Ideas is a day-long platform for communal dialogue, action and rest. A temporary nomadic bakery where listening and gentle creativity are prioritised, exchange is encouraged and everyone makes a loaf of their very own ancient grain sourdough bread. It offers a playful and empowering facilitated space for people to get together, slow down and envisage positive alternative futures.
During this special bakery for healthcare workers The Quadrangle] we will be exploring what nourishes us and thinking about connections between our personal health and ecological health. The day is open to all healthcare workers who feel the need to rest, digest and to process the impact that the last two years has had on them.
The Bakery of Slow Ideas has taken place all over the UK and Europe with a wide range of different groups. It was conceived of and created by the artist Leo Kay and is facilitated by Leo and his collaborator Anna Smith, together they are Unfinished Business: thisisunfinished.com.
This day is supported by the Farming in Protected Landscapes Programme in collaboration with Kent
Refreshments, lunch and all baking materials are provided.
