Taking that first step into something new can feel daunting — especially when it’s into the unknown. But once you’ve done it, you’ll feel proud, stronger, and more centred for having taken that leap.

Our Men’s Yoga Classes at The Space offer a welcoming environment where you can move, breathe, and connect with like-minded individuals. These small, friendly groups are designed to support men of all ages and abilities — whether you’re completely new to yoga or looking to deepen your practice.

Physically, yoga helps build strength, balance, and flexibility, while easing tight muscles and improving posture.

Mentally, it’s a powerful way to manage stress, find calm, and cultivate focus and resilience — both on and off the mat.

If you’ve been thinking about trying yoga, now’s the time.

Yoga for Life, Yoga for living well.

Yoga is a complete approach to life — caring for the physical body while also nurturing the mental and spiritual aspects of ourselves.

These time-tested practices have survived for thousands of years because they work. Ancient as they are, they offer the perfect antidote to many of the stresses and challenges we face in our busy modern lives.

A regular yoga practice can help reduce anxiety, calm the mind, ease physical tension, and bring about a deep sense of overall well-being.

Hatha Yoga, the style we practice at The Space, focuses on slower, more mindful movements with conscious breathing — a gentle yet powerful way to promote relaxation and presence. Yoga helps you notice where you hold tension —both in your body and in your mind —and teaches you how to soften and release it.

Alongside yoga, meditation offers another layer of stillness and awareness. Even a few minutes of meditation can create a feeling of spacious calm, helping you become more centred and grounded in daily life.

I offer Yoga for Men every Thursday evening — a friendly, down-to-earth class designed to improve strength, flexibility, and balance, while giving space to unwind and reset at the end of the week.

Hello, lovely yogis 💛

Can you believe it’s that time again — the clocks have gone back, the evenings are drawing in, and there’s that unmistakable autumn magic in the air. The darker nights bring a chance to slow down, light a few candles, and lean into the cosy side of things.

Here at The Space, we’re embracing it all — warm blankets, gentle practice, soft lighting, and those little moments of stillness that make you sigh with relief. Whether you’re rolling out your mat, coming in for a treatment, or joining a meditation, this season is such a beautiful time to nurture yourself and refill your cup.

Let’s keep showing up for ourselves and each other — breathing, moving, and resting together as the year begins to wind down. There’s so much light to be found, even in the darker evenings. ✨

Our Story

The Space is a dedicated well-being centre where you can find balance, harmony and energy renewal amidst the hectic bustle of everyday pressures and deadlines. We offer a range of complementary and holistic therapies, classes, private tuition, workshops, retreat days and treatments for the mind and body.

We offer yoga and Tai chi classes to suit all levels from complete beginner to mixed abilities and improvers. We teach empathy and compassion. while listening to your body and breath we encourage you to work within your own limits without force or strain. I know from personal experience that there is no better way to practise yoga than in nature with natural healing energy and the elements to support one’s practice, and the Space certainly offers this – you’ll be breathing fresh air and have lovely views of the surrounding countryside while still being in a comfortable studio.

The Space is set up on a site deep within the heart of the Blackmore vale in the community village of Motcombe, a quiet village a couple of miles north of Shaftesbury.
