Saw an unexpected familar figure yesterday en route back to the hotel.

After a small Google, this is pachumama eco park.

A place that embraces the local fauna and shows how green cape verde can be.
They also rescue animals and hold many events for locals.

May have to try and visit ❤️

Day 3

We stepped into shark infested waters.

These are baby lemon sharks that stay close to the beach in what is dubbed 'the nursery'
They stay here until they are big enough to go their own way.

These babies, are gentle and pose no threat, as long as you are not a fish!

Although something looks scary with the right mentality and slow steps, you can wade through the shark infested waters.

A gentle reminder to check the UV index when you are out and about.

Its windy over here, giving a nice cool breeze from the heat. Clouds are rolling over the sun giving an extra break...

HOWEVER, this UV index is 11 (extreme) at noon. *average in the UK is 6 in June/July*

Just because its cloudy and it doesn't feel hot, be careful!

Factor 50 is on from breakfast until night time.

I do NOT want to look like a lobster 😂 I'd rather stay pale thanks!
