Every day should be spent taking care of our mental health but sadly it's something that so so many people struggle with π₯Ή
Stress
Anxiety
Depression
ADHD
Bipolar
Grief
Lack of self confidence.....
Unfortunately the list goes on of things we carry day to day usually in silence not knowing how to make it better or not wanting to bother someone with our problems π₯Ή
THIS NEEDS TO STOP! βοΈπ
There are lots of ways to take care of our mental health - 2 of my top favourites are....
π£ Talking - to a professional or friends/family.
At WoW we love a good chat and a chance to vent, rant, ask advice, laugh etc in every class & session! It's just as important (sometimes more so) as the exercises! π―
πββοΈ Exercise - moving your body!
It doesn't matter how fit (or unfit) you are, how strong or how fast. Simply moving your body creates a chemical reaction that literally boosts your mood and well-being. A short walk or a 10 min workout can make a difference to your day. The more you move the more you improve! β¨οΈ
These 2 things are very powerful tools for looking after our minds aswell as our bodies- especially when combined π
I'm lucky enough to work with some amazing ladies and everyone has their own battles. BUT what I can thankfully say is that every one of them tell me that after exercising they feel so much better!! (Especially when done consistently) We don't just exercise our body we exercise our minds too!!
Whether you want to have a good talk and get things off your chest or switch off for an hour and get lost in a workout, I'm here for both - whichever helps you best. No judgement and comlpete confidentiality! π₯°
