Here are some simple sustainable habits you can adopt in 2022 to lead a greener life.
1. Instead of throwing away empty jars or containers rom food or other essentials, you can repurpose or re-use these.
For example, using containers for taking pack-up lunch to work or jars for storing pasta.
2. Using local refill stations to re-fill beauty products i.e. shampoo or body wash, and also for topping up on food
3. Reducing the use of transport by walking or cycling places if you can, the warmer days and lighter nights are upon us so there’s no excuse.
4. Using plastic free alternatives wherever you can, whether it be a reusable water bottle or shampoo bars instead of shampoo in plastic bottles.
5. Composting food scraps instead of throwing away and adding to methane gases.
6. Freezing left over food rather than throwing away if there’s enough for a meal in the future as this can help reduce food waste.
