๐Important Update: Support for the 8:00am Rush โ Meet Emma
We know that contacting the practice at 8:00am can sometimes feel busy and stressful. Thatโs why weโre introducing Emma, our new virtual receptionist, to help make things quicker and easier for you.
๐งSoft Launch
We will start with a soft-launch phase of Emma 26th March 2026. During this time, some calls will still be answered by our reception team as we continue to embed the system.
๐กWhat This Means for You
When you call the practice, you may be greeted by Emma, who will guide you through your request and ensure it reaches the right team.
Please be reassured:
โข Our team is not being replaced โ we are still here and reviewing every request
โข Emma does not make clinical decisions
โข All requests are reviewed by a trained clinician or team member
โข If you need urgent help, you will still receive the support you need
๐How Emma Helps You
๐Answers calls quickly โ reducing time spent on hold
๐Completes a secure Accurx request for you (just like a receptionist would)
๐ฉโโ๏ธSends your request directly to the right team
๐Frees up staff to focus on patient care
โฐHelps ease the 8:00am rush
๐ปThe Best Way to Contact Us
If youโre able to go online, using Accurx forms is still the fastest way to:
โข Request medical help
โข Ask admin questions
โข Request fit notes or letters
โข Get advice and updates
๐ฑFor Routine Requests โ Use the NHS App
The NHS App is the quickest way to:
โ Order repeat prescriptions
โ Check test results
โ View appointments
โ Receive messages and updates
๐Please note: Emma cannot process repeat prescription requests โ these should be done via the NHS App.
๐A Small Favour
When speaking to Emma, please:
โข Speak clearly
โข Keep answers short
โข Minimise background noise
๐Thank You for Your Support
This is part of our ongoing commitment to make access to the practice fairer, easier, and less stressful for everyone.
We appreciate your patience as we introduce Emma, and your feedback will help us continue to improve.
