Happy Christmas everyone. Hope you are all safe and well. It was great having our Christmas lunch, catching up with each other.
We also enjoyed the presentation given by our third year medical students. We were treated to an interesting activity, making our very own Christmas tree ornament followed by a Christmas Raffle.
A happy, healthy 2023
Join us again in January. Looking forward to the interesting talks and of course the fun sing a long with Sally.

Great advice from Eddie who lives with COPD & bronchiectasis.
"You’ve got to manage the day-to-day of your condition yourself & know when to ask for help. There’s lots of support groups online, I’d encourage anyone diagnosed to find a network that helps them – you’re not alone."

Collecting my inhalers today I was asked to bring in old ones for them to recycle. They had had a directive to ask customers to bring in expired plastic components.
The pharmacy I use is Peak Pharmacy.
I mention this because there had been a discussion about recycling and doubt as to whether the pharmacy was disposing of the inhalers correctly. I’m pleased to report that they are being recycled safely.

Our first meeting since lockdown will take place at Graves Health and Sports Centre on Wednesday 13th October.
It should be an interesting talk from a respiratory nurse on how to stay safe during the winter months.
We inevitably have lots of questions and stories from our members.
Look forward to seeing you there.
