Meet Andy our fantastic driver and activities support worker.....

Hi I'm Andy.
I live in Chesterfield with my partner Caroline and our two dogs Ted and Tilly.
I've worked at Rainbow for 6 months now. Whilst I have no previous experience in care I do enjoy meeting and getting to know our members and find it very rewarding. We have some really interesting funny groups and it is a pleasure to spend time with them. Taking them to a museum, or bowling, out for lunch, or just a coffee and a chat.

I enjoy growing our own veg (they always taste so much better). I have a slight obsession with cacti and succulents the quirkier the better and have a greenhouse full of them. I also enjoy socialising with friends visiting new places and swimming in the sea when on holiday.

We are lucky to have access to some beautiful locations for our groups. At De La Salle we have some friendly neighbours who love an apple or two 🍏🦌.

Meet Debs one of our amazing activities support workers.....

Hi, I'm Debs and have worked for Rainbow Care Group for 6 months. I really enjoy my job and I love providing high quality person centred support to our members and seeing their smiles and how happy they and their family members are. All activities are personal to each member. I enjoy listening to their life stories. In my personal life, I'm a wife and a mum to four children, I enjoy spending time with my family and watching two of my daughters play football. In my spare time I follow Sheffield United, being a season ticket holder with two of my daughters.

Some of our Tuesday Millhouses group braved the cold to visit the lambs at Graves Park. Our members really enjoyed feeding them and having a cuddle. A sign that spring is finally coming! 🌷🐑

🧁BAKING🧁
Great for practicing fine motor skills and a brilliant tool for reminiscence. Our members enjoyed chatting about baking with their parents and grandparents and then with their own children when they were young. Some lovely memories shared 💜

It would have been Elvis Presley's 91st birthday back on the 8th January. We have some avid Elvis fans within our groups and had great fun being Elvis for the day!
