Hello everyone 💚✨

Exciting news!
You can sign up to one of Green Arcana’s workshops for the first time!

I am so honoured to announce that I will be running a fringe event for Yorkshire Sustainability Week! 🌎🌳

This workshop is on the 7th of July in North Yorkshire at Make it Wild’s stunning nature reserve. All details are on the website:

This event includes two workshops: Wild Harvest School of Self-Reliance Rolled Beeswax Candles and Natural Cordage.

You will come away with three dinner candles and roughly a yard of natural cordage each.
Working with your hands to craft useful and beautiful items from natural, locally sourced materials is such a lovely practice in being present with and appreciative of everything mother nature provides. 🌞
These ancient crafts are very beginner friendly and will give you foundational skills, upon which you can build. Leave the event feeling connected to your ancestors through the recreation of the very methods they would have used to make their light and string. 🕯️🌾

Hi, I’m Cece and I’m the founder of Green Arcana (🥹💚)

I struggled for a while with the idea of posting my self online as part of this business venture (honestly mostly out of fear of giving the ick to anyone who knew me in school) but the fact of the matter is, this is how things work and it’s really not that deep!

Soooo hello ☺️ here’s a little get-to-know-me post!

I’m 23, living in Sheffield, and recently graduated from the University of Leeds, studying Environment and Business 🌳👩🏼‍🎓

My hope is for this to become a really lovely, wholesome and judgment-free community, both online and in person.

As someone who has struggled with eco-anxiety for literally as long as I can remember, I know how overwhelming it can be to care deeply about our planet especially when it seems like we’re bombarded with bad news constantly.

So, let’s balance out the scales a little bit…

Green Arcana’s mission statement is to empower, enable and encourage everyone to deepen their connection to nature; whether that’s through getting outside more and being mindful whilst doing so 🧘‍♀️🌳, bringing more plants into your home (in food/as houseplants/in the products you use etc.)🪴, buying second hand 🧣, repairing what we have🪡, learning bushcraft skills 🏕️, learning to make what we need using the nature on our doorstep 🕯️, connecting to the seasons and other natural cycles 🍁, fostering deeper relationships within communities 💗, and so much more!!

How Green Arcana got it’s name…

My goal for this venture has always been to demystify a life lived naturally- to empower and enable people to have deeper connections with nature and community in their everyday life. I wanted to uncover the secrets of our natural world that should have been passed down by our ancestors but largely got lost along the way: sustainable living without all the green-washed bu****it.

I was struggling for a while to come up with a name to encompass all of this. At the time I had a daily tarot practise and I had sat down that evening with the intention of gaining some inspiration as for what to call my business. The universe really said ‘ask and you shall receive’ because right there on every page of the book I had read daily for the past month was this beautiful word ‘Arcana’, meaning secrets, and Green Arcana was born.
