VE Day celebration

We have celebrated VE Day a week early with a wonderful time spent outside in the courtyard listening to to a new singer Rachel Lauren.
It was so nice to see so many people enjoying the music 🎶

Gill and Kenneth have both enjoyed an afternoon of singing with Lost Chord 🎶
Some great oldie songs were sung by all!!

What a lovely day we have had at Matlock Farm Park!
It was great to be able to feed some of the animals, the goats especially knew who had bags of food and ran straight to them!!

We have enjoyed the sunshine today.

We took the box of cards from Postcards of Kindness out with us to read to one another.
We learnt that there are 11.7 million sheep in Wales and that they out number people 4 to 1!!!

What a fantastic day we have had celebrating St George’s Day. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

We had a baking session in the morning making shield shaped cookies and buns.🛡️

Then in the afternoon we have had the fabulous Alan Turner in to sing for us 🎶

We have been getting ready for our St George’s Day celebrations tomorrow.

We have had a productive day today here at Longley Park View.
Our sunflower seedlings were ready for potting on. We can’t wait to see them growing! What colours do you think we have got?
We have also made some caterpillars 🐛 amazing what you can make with an egg carton, a splash of paint and some seeds!! Watch this space for a progress update!
