Sole water, have you heard of it?
(Pronounced so-lay.)
Sole water is simply water that’s been fully saturated with unrefined salt.
When it’s ready, there will always be undissolved crystals at the bottom. The water now holds sodium and a range of trace minerals, in a form your body can actually use.
In times gone by, we drank from springs, wells and streams where water picked up minerals from rock and soil.
Today, our tap water is heavily treated and filtered in the industrial sense. By the time it reaches us, most of those naturally occurring minerals are gone.
Somewhere along the way, we also learned to fear salt and with that came a deep distrust of sodium itself.
Yet every cell, every heartbeat, every nerve signal depends on it.
How to make it
> Use a clean glass jar (no plastic, no metal lid)
> Fill about one-third with an unrefined salt you trust Celtic sea salt, or a pure Himalayan salt- from brands like (Redmond’s Real Salt, BAJA gold, Le Guerande, Pro-fusion any other recommendations welcome ☺️)
> Top up with filtered water
> Stir with a wooden spoon (never metal)
> Cover with a breathable linen cloth or a lid lined with parchment paper
> Leave for 24 hours. If all the salt dissolves, add more and wait another day.
> When crystals always remain at the bottom, it’s ready.
How to use it
> Add about 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of sole to a glass of water in the morning ideally on an empty stomach . Start low and notice how your body responds.
What it’s said to help with
* Replacing minerals lost through sweat, stress, and depleted soils
* Hydration at a cellular level (for children and adults)
* Steadier energy
*Supporting the adrenals
* Supporting digestion and muscle function
* Helping the body hold water where it’s needed
I keep mine on the counter with love and gratitude written on the jar.
I believe water holds memory and that intention changes how we meet the day.
As with anything that changes your mineral intake, notice how you feel.
Have you heard of sole water before? Or is it something that you do already?
