The Postpartum period is crucial time for new mothers, as they navigate physical, emotional and social changes that come with childbirth.

Across the globe, various cultures have developed unique postnatal traditions to support and celebrate new mothers.

It would be lovely if we could all honour the postnatal period and put some of these traditions into practice.

Unfortunately here in the UK and other countries, as new mothers we are put under pressure to 'bounce back' and get on with things!

Happy Easter Everyone 🐣 💛 Lovely to see some sunshine this weekend!

Back to the rain here today in Ireland 🇮🇪 🤣 but good to be home visiting family and friends for the week. Looking forward to a roast dinner and relaxing in my pj's for the day!

As a sufferer of Endometriosis I thought I would write about the symptoms, diagnoses & treatments for Endometriosis Awareness Month!

I was diagnosed with Endometriosis in 2019 after battling with doctors for almost 8 years. I had scans, blood tests, urine tests and there was nothing showing up. Not 1 doctor even mentioned the word Endometriosis. It was through my own research that I thought this may be what I have but because I didn't have the 'painful periods' every month I was told it was highly unlikely it was Endo.
I was told to take the contraceptive pill to help with the pain and to supress the growth and that when I got pregnant the symptoms would go away (this was not the case for me) but may be for some women.
I finally put my foot down and had my surgery in New Zealand in 2019 and it was confirmed I did have Endometriosis. Even when the tissue is removed it can grow back. For me unfortunately none of my symptoms disappeared. I suffer everyday with chronic pain. that I try to manage through diet and movement.
There is no cure.
So for any women or teenage girls, if you do suffer with any of these symptoms or severe period pain then don't hesitate to see your doctor.
