Many children with autism find it hard to accept being told “no.”
But here’s what most people don’t realise: this is a teachable skill.
Teaching your child to accept “no” can reduce frustration, emotional outbursts, and build long-term coping strategies.

Be cautious though—giving in after a meltdown teaches that meltdowns work. And that can make it even harder for your child next time.

We are excited to announce that the ABA Sheffield Clinic is now open and accepting bookings!

Our clinic provides high-quality, evidence-based Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) therapy in a structured, supportive environment.

Our sessions provide targeted, one-to-one support to help children build fundamental skills in:

✅ Communication & Requesting – Helping children express their needs effectively
✅ Receptive Language Understanding – Strengthening the ability to follow instructions and comprehend language
✅ Imitation Skills – Encouraging learning through observation and copying others
✅ Play Skills – Supporting social interaction, creativity, and engagement in meaningful play

🌟 We're Hiring: 1:1 ABA Tutor 🌟

Join our team at ABA Sheffield and make a real difference in the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)! We're on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated 1:1 ABA Tutor for a special school in Rotherham. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a child's growth and learning in a meaningful way.

What We Offer:

1) A role focused on empowering children with ASD through personalised, behaviour-based teaching techniques.
2) Comprehensive training in ABA methods and regular supervision.
3) A collaborative environment working as part of the wider teaching team.
4) School term time work hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 3:30 pm) with opportunities for additional hours during evenings and school holidays.
5) Competitive pay (£13 - £15 per hour) based on experience, for 32.5 hours per week.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

1) Is enthusiastic about working with children with autism.
2) Has a keen interest in understanding human behaviour.
3) Is comfortable with data recording and designing interventions.
4) Enjoys working in a team and is eager to learn and apply new teaching techniques.
