🐾 Cheddar 🐾

Cheddar is a pro at swimming and is one of our Saturday morning regulars🐶🥰 but unfortunately, he has hip dysplasia 💔

What is hip dysplasia?
Hip dysplasia is where the hip joint is not formed properly, and the articulating bones rub and grind instead of sliding smoothly.
This causes the joint to deteriorate and lose its function.

There can be several factors that can cause this disease; genetics as it is hereditary, excessive growth rate, types of exercise, over excising when young, poor nutrition.

The symptoms include; decreased activity, decreased range of motion of the joint, lameness, reluctant movement, loss of muscle mass, pain, stiffness, clicking of the hip joint.

Hydrotherapy can help your dog build muscles around the hips in order to support the joint. It is a non-weight bearing exercise so your dog will feel no pain in the water and it allows your dog to increase their range of motion for the hip joint!

Alongside hydrotherapy, joint supplements and managing your dogs diet will also help!!

🩷 Aggie 🩷

What a little angel Aggie is🩷

Aggie started coming to us for a lameness in one of her back legs, which due to her age, is suspected arthritis💔

Exercising the nice warm water is perfect for her joints and she’s able to reach a bigger range of motion in the water to help build muscle up to support her arthritic joints🐶

She’s doing so well, keep up the good work Aggie🩷

We are looking for a caring and confident individual to join our team💙

The suitable candidate will help assist our hydrotherapy sessions, handle a variety of different dogs, maintain a clean and clinical environment, assist with admin roles.

An animal background is preferred 🐶

Hours will vary but will be discussed further. It does include Saturdays and is part time
