World Sleep Day reminder: most of us are walking around tired 😴

The UK averages just 6-6.5 hours of sleep a night, when most adults need 7-9 hours to properly recover. Modern life doesn’t help either - screens, stress, late emails, and endless scrolling keep our brains switched on long after our bodies want to sleep.

But sleep is where the magic happens.
Your brain resets.
Your muscles repair.
Your body actually recovers from training.

One thing that can help? Red Light Therapy.
When used earlier in the day, red and near-infrared light can support your body’s circadian rhythm - the internal clock that tells you when to feel alert and when to feel sleepy. It works by stimulating your cells’ mitochondria (the energy producers), helping regulate natural energy levels during the day so your body can wind down properly at night.

Think of it as giving your body a clear signal of when it’s daytime, which helps it produce melatonin more effectively later when it’s actually time for sleep.

So if you’ve been feeling wired at night but tired all day… your rhythm might just need a reset.

At R1SE we offer 30-minute Red Light Therapy sessions, 7 days a week if you want to add a little recovery into your routine.

R1SE Urban Yoga

We love life! We love health! We love yoga!

We wanted to make yoga more accessible to the masses. We totally appreciate the spritual side of yoga and that some people have a real need for silence whilst they practice. However, that is not for everyone and it is not our style.

We love the functional fitness that yoga offers, the increased strength, balance, flexibility and relaxation, not to mention the trim waists and toned muscles. We want to deliver this in a luxury environment full of community, laughter, cool tunes and beautiful teas.

Our Urban style of yoga will not have you humming, panting or talking in asanas or chakras. Our 45 minute punchy classes will give you a solid core, great progression and contain wild card poses.
