As a dedicated health and wellness therapist, my aim is to guide you towards a balanced, harmonious life. Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice which combines physical movement, controlled breathing, and focused intention to enhance your physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, reduce stress, boost energy and cultivate inner peace. Simply put, Shibashi Qigong, is a sequence of 18 flowing movements with elements of Tai chi which is practiced as a gentle energy movement exercise. Qigong can improve physical health in numerous ways. The slow flowing movements help to stretch and strengthen muscles, improve flexibility, and enhance balance and coordination. Regular practice can lead to increased energy levels, better posture, and a greater range of motion. Moreover, it is a practice for all, seated or standing that offers a wide range of benefits for both body and mind. Whether you are looking to improve your physical health, reduce stress, or simply find a way to be more present in your daily life, Shibashi has something to offer. Its gentle, flowing movements make it accessible to people of all ages and abilities, and its emphasis on mindfulness and relaxation can help to create a deep sense of inner peace. In Qigong and nature-based practice, letting go isn’t about ignoring our feelings.
It’s about releasing the stuck energy behind them — the anxiety that tightens the chest, the anger that heats the body, the frustration that steals our breath We let go because:
• Anxiety keeps us living ahead of ourselves.
When we release it, we return to the present moment — where calm waits for us.
• Anger contracts the body.
When we soften it, our energy flows again, like a stream finding its natural course.
• Frustration locks us into the same loop of thoughts.
When we let it go, space opens for clarity, choice, and ease.

Letting go doesn’t make us weaker.
It makes us spacious, grounded, and free.
In Qigong, every exhale is a doorway to freedom.
Every soft movement washes tension out of the muscles.
Every mindful moment teaches us that we don’t have to carry everything alone.

Letting go is not giving up.
It’s giving yourself permission to feel lighter, clearer, and more at peace.

Because freedom truly is the quiet beginning of happiness.

Before we rise, we must root.
Qigong teaches us that stability and flow come from the ground up, from finding our centre, softening into stillness, and allowing the earth to support us.

When we pause and feel our feet connected to the ground, something shifts.
The breath steadies.
The mind clears.
And energy begins to rise, naturally, effortlessly.

Just like trees draw nourishment through their roots before reaching for the sky, we too need to ground ourselves in stillness before we expand into movement and growth.

Root first. Rise second.
That’s where balance, grace, and quiet strength are found.

Autumn invites us to pause and gently prepare for winters rest.

It’s a time to gather what nourishes us and let go of what no longer serves,old habits, cluttered thoughts, worn-out routines. As nature sheds her leaves, we too make space for new beginnings to quietly take root.
