Here's a little cutie snowman for you all this morning!

I know it's an unpopular opinion but I've actually got my fingers crossed for the sprinkling of snow that has been forecast for Shropshire in the next few days. I LOVE making snowmen!

I've been a bit bogged down with random life stuff again. I was on jury duty last week and I've also been packaging cards like crazy ready to drop them off at a few workplaces this week.

***Donations are in!***

I'm so delighted to announce that donations are in and my Cakeaway and Crafts event in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support has raised £1920!

It's taken:

🫂 7 dedicated volunteers to help on the day

Hey friends from far and wide!

September has come round again and it's time for me to let you know that I'm running another Macmillan event this October.

Set your watches for one month's time!

Last year, my local friends and family helped me to raise £1500 for Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of my friend Liz , who had recently passed away from cancer. All that money went to support people living with cancer and I couldn't be more grateful for the way my friends and family turned out to support me. Thank you.

This year, I won't be hosting a traditional coffee morning but instead it'll be a "Cakeaway and Craft Event".

Now, I've realised that running a cake stall is somewhat of local event and it means that friends and family from across the UK can't really take part very easily!

So here is how my long distance friends can help out! I'm looking for friends who will:

• Join my Facebook group: Yvonne's Macmillan Cancer Support Cakeaway and Craft event and follow along on the journey.

• Order some cupcake greetings cards especially designed by me and produced in aid of for Macmillan. These are priced at £2.50 per card with all profits going to Macmillan. Watch the page for updates!

• Use my Macmillan page to make a donation. Please give what you can to help support more people living with cancer.

***Macmillan Cancer Support cupcake card update***

You might have seen a few posts back that I'm making some "calorie free" 😉 cake cards to raise money for .

I'm hoping that my friends from far and wide might choose to donate around the price of a takeaway coffee in return for one of these so that all profits can go towards helping those living with cancer. 🤞🙏 Running a cake stall in October means it won't be quite so easy to send real cake through the post! 😆

Having added some drawn details to the design, they're now back from the printers.

I've been adding tiny, sparkly sequins by hand!

5, 4, 3, 2, 1!

I've been making some milestone age birthday cards and I thought I'd share a sneak peek with you!

These cards are an impressive A5 size (imagine your average piece of A4 paper and fold it in half) and they make quite a statement on any mantle piece! 🤣 Maybe little ones don't think of this stuff so much but they will love the bright colours and their age centre stage!

Getting a milestone age card helps young children to recognise numbers of personal significance (sorry, that's the teacher in me creeping out) and these numbers are completely custom made so any favourite colours or designs can be incorporated! Each card comes with a coordinating envelope and can be dispatched in 1-3 days.

These can be ordered through my Etsy shop (link in my bio) or if you've just seen one you love, DM me and I'll send it out to you for £4 including P&P.

I'm really proud to be supporting my friend, Julia with her charity raffle in aid of Sheffield Children's Hospital. When her son was born he needed to have surgery in the first few days of his life and now she wants to give back what she can by fundraising for them. Some really great small businesses have clubbed together to come up with a great children's raffle prize worth over £130!

I'm in there with a not-yet-in-the-shops pack of 8 children's party invitations and a pack of 5 thank you cards.

***Macmillan card update***

Knowing how you guys love a a bit of mediative detail work on here, please enjoy this fiddly little video! 😆

For those of you who wish to support the work of Macmillan Cancer Support but are either too far away from me to have cake in return for a donation or are wanting a calorie free version... there are now cupcake cards!!

Here I am adding tiny details to the envelopes....teeny-tiny sequins applied by hand. It's taken a while, I'll tell you...but all worth it for this great charity.

You can see a sneak peek of the cards in the background of this video (more on those in coming days).
