After taking some time to grieve the loss of my beautiful dad and soak up the chaos of summer holidays with the kids 😵‍💫 (how y’all coping???) I’m back 💪 and ready to help you honour life’s most meaningful moments.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been quietly working behind the scenes. I’ve had the privilege of leading several heartfelt funerals and already have weddings booked for next year 💍💐 exciting!

So whether you’re:

💓 GODPARENTS 💓

Or Guide Parents, Guard Parents, Sparents….

Whatever you choose to call them - it’s lovely to choose special people in your life that your children can rely on

So when it comes to your little one’s Naming Ceremony, take some time out to see if you’d like someone to take on this responsibility, and what you’d like to call them

For us, we wanted people who had similar values to us… fun, real, approachable, creative and reliable

It wasn’t about presents, or even presence - just a knowledge that when needed - they’d be there!

And we chose well.

None of my girls’ God parents live close by - but they love them very much and are a big part of their lives. And vice versa. I can feel the love from them all when they see my children. And this is priceless.

Our children are lucky enough to have amazing aunties and uncles - but it’s lovely to know that they have extra grown ups looking out for them, too

So when you choose me to help you with your Naming Ceremony, remember - there are no rules!

It can be traditional, more modern, a bit of both, and it can incorporate a little religion too if you’d like?

You can choose one special ‘Guardparent’ or 10!! Who’s counting? Not me…

And you can have it whenever and wherever you’d like filled with personal readings, poems, songs and whatever else you see fitting

It’s about you and your family. And I’d love to help you

So if you’re welcoming a new baby into the world soon, or your bigger babies have never had a naming ceremony, then I’d love to hear from you! Maybe you’re a full grown adult and have never had one - this is your sign to do it! Any excuse for a party, right?

💓 TEN YEARS MARRIED 💓

A whole decade of love, laughter, lessons, and learning how to grow together.

Through the highs, the lows, and the everyday in-between, we’ve built something real and something worth celebrating.

As a celebrant, I get to witness so many beautiful beginnings. But today, I’m honouring what comes after the “I do” - the vows we live every single day.

Whether you’re planning your wedding, dreaming of a vow renewal, or just feeling sentimental, love deserves to be celebrated at every stage.
And I’d be honoured to help you do just that.

To my husband: thank you for being my safe place, my partner, and my best friend. Here’s to ten years, and all the years to come ♥️

💓 A PERSONAL GOODBYE 💓

On Wednesday, just two weeks after he died, I had the privilege of writing and delivering my dad’s funeral. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but also one of the most beautiful.

The day was full of love and laughter. His seven grandchildren all wore United Kits in his honour. My sisters and I each took to the front to read and reflect on his incredible life. There were tears, yes, but just as much laughter. We shared stories, music, and memories that felt so completely him. It was deeply personal, and it mattered.

It reminded me why I chose to do this as a profession.

As a celebrant, I believe everyone deserves a service that reflects who they truly were, not just the facts of their life, but their humour, their passions, the people they loved, and the joy they brought to others

My dad’s ceremony was exactly that. And I’m proud of what we created.

I worried about sharing my work in such a personal way, but I want people to know: this is more than a role for me. I understand how much it matters to get it right. And I bring that same care, attention, and heart into every ceremony I lead.

If you’re ever in need of someone to help craft a truly meaningful farewell; for someone you love or to plan ahead - I’m here. And I promise it will be personal, respectful, and real.

Because every life deserves to be remembered well.

I hope we did you proud dad - because we were always proud of you - this day more than ever.

Dad always said he was lucky - but like Nina said during the service - I think we were the lucky ones

💓 Goodbye Dad 💓

Today’s the day we give Dad the send off he deserves ♥️

It is my honour to lead the service and welcome everybody as we celebrate his wonderful life 🙏

💓 My dad 💓

You may have noticed I’ve been very quiet on my Celebrancy socials recently

My dad died last Wednesday so my time has been taken up caring for him and saying goodbye

I’ll be out of action for a little longer as I prepare and plan for one of the most special funeral services I’ll ever have the honour to write and lead

But rest assured I’ll let you know when I’m back in business and ready to help you say goodbye to your loved ones in the best way suited to them

Thanks to my wedding couples who have been amazing. Can’t wait to get back into full swing planning mode

But for now this is where I need to be

💓 SHARE THE LOVE 💕

Over the coming days and weeks I’m meeting couples for the first time who have chosen me to officiate their special day

I can’t wait to hear all about their plans, and work with them to make their ceremony just perfect

It’s my job to ensure each couple get a service that’s unique, special and personal

It’s almost 10 years since our big day… we were so lucky to have the most amazing and talented friends & family who worked together to make the day perfect for us

It was the perfect day. If I had my time again, I’d perhaps have a smaller service for the legal bits and then a big party with all my favourite people and the perfect celebrant. Maybe next time 😜

💕 Monday Musings 💓

⭕️ The Circle of Life ♥️

After celebrating my own birthday this weekend, I’ve been feeling reflective about the beautiful, complex journey of life.

Getting older isn’t just about candles on a cake; it’s about recognizing how lucky we are to be here, growing, evolving, and witnessing all the stages that shape our stories.

As a celebrant, I feel incredibly honoured to walk beside others through those moments - from naming ceremonies that welcome new life, to weddings that unite hearts, to farewells that honour a life well lived. And everything in between.

Life is a circle, always spinning, and I’m so grateful to play a part in helping people mark the milestones that matter.

Whether it’s the joyful cries of a newborn, the vows whispered between soulmates, or the final goodbye filled with love and memory - I’m here, for it all. 💛

Here’s to celebrating life, in all its seasons.

💓 HAPPY FATHER’S DAY 💓

Today we remember and honour all the amazing dads, daddies, grandads and step dads….

Those still with us, those who are poorly, and those watching over us from heaven

To those who have already left this world - you live on in our love and memories. We remember you in everything we do and carry the lessons you taught us and pass them on so you will be remembered forever

To those poorly dads - we love you, we’re proud of you, and we hold you close in our thoughts

And to all those amazing dads we’re lucky enough to spend today with - let’s spoil you and be thankful for all you do for us all

I’m spending Father’s Day with my husband who is the most amazing dad to our girls, and my father in law who’s making us all a Sunday roast

And tomorrow I’ll visit my dad in his nursing home for more kisses and cuddles.

It can be a very sad day as we reflect and remember those we’ve lost. So be gentle with yourself.
