Just like that our Locks of Love has started ❤️
The grounds team have worked hard to get this completed and in place ready for our first 2 locks to be attached. When you’re next in our garden please pop along and have a look, you’ll find them on the walls on the walk towards Haughmond Meadow.
If you wish to purchased one of our locks please call the office and speak to our memorial consultant Kelly

Today marks the end of NHS Organ Donation Week 2024. For Harry & the other nearly 8000 people on the transplant list, everyday is a reminder of the need for more donors, for more people to make their wishes known & for more families to follow these wishes and agree to organ donation.
Please do consider signing up to the register - it takes 3mins - and tell your loved ones
Thank you to everyone who shared my previous post. It means so much to us. Here are some more photos of Harry being Harry. We hope he will be back up mountains, competing at The British Transplant Games and being his usual happy self very soon.

It's day 1 of NHS Organ Donation week.

This is Harry. He is 13.5years old and became a bit of a celebrity when he ran laps of the BBC Breakfast sofa aged 4.

Harry was born with the liver disease Biliary Atresia, which led to him needing a transplant just before his 1st birthday. Harry then needed another transplant (donated from dad Simon as a living donor) when he was 4.

Since then, Harry has been unstoppable. He has summited Cadair Idris, Ben Nevis & Snowdon. He has won many medals at The British Transplant Games as part of the Birmingham Children's Hospital and Charity team. Harry loves cycling, swimming, Minecraft and Lego.

But then he became poorly. This year has not been kind. Harry has spent around 18 weeks in hospital and now needs a 3rd transplant. Live donation is not an option. So the bags are packed and we await the call. We know that he will not get better without a new liver.

Although everyone is now a potential donor, the final decision is made by Next of Kin. Many say no.

More lives could be saved by people sharing their wishes. Sign up to the register and tell your loved ones. Thank you

I am so humbled to have worked with each and every one of these families.
Thank you all for welcoming me, for telling me about your loved ones and allowing me the honour of walking beside you on the day of the service.
Thank you to all the wonderful funeral directors, arrangers, bearers and lovely chapel staff for all your help and support.
