I still can’t quite get over this delivery 💙

Lansinoh very generously sent over a huge box of breast pads, breast milk storage bags and ni**le cream, and I was honestly blown away by how much they included.

These will now be added into every Blue Lotus hire, alongside a few other little goodies as a quiet extra for my families.

I’ve used Lansinoh ni**le cream religiously with both of my babies. It’s one of those true essentials that I now gift to any new breastfeeding mum without hesitation, so this partnership feels really special to me and I’m genuinely so pleased to be working with .

On New Year’s Day I did my very first Blue Lotus birth pool delivery, and I still can’t believe what this year has become 💙

In our first year we’ve gone from one pool to four, added the Submerge package, and brought in even more ways to support people though labour and birth with TENS hire, the Comfort Package and HotTea Mama teas.

I’m genuinely so grateful to every family who trusted me with such a special part of their journey. It means the world to me that I get to make home birth feel a little calmer and more supported here in Shropshire, one family at a time.

I’m so excited for next year, and I keep telling myself I shouldn’t add anything else…but I’ve got one more package and one more service I’m already itching to launch. I can’t help it, I just want it to keep getting better for you.

A little unboxing of the equipment that goes out with every pool hire today 💙

I use the official Birth Pool in a Box liners and equipment for all my hires, because everything is designed to work perfectly together. The liners keep all the pool’s features behaving exactly as they should, and they’re genuinely the quickest and easiest to fit (something I learned the hard way during my own birth!)

The branded pump is another helpful tool. It stops the pool from being over-inflated.

✨ Blue Lotus Birth Pools is officially one year old this month! ✨

What a special year it’s been. I’ve gone from one pool to four, launched the Submerge package, added the Home Birth Comfort Package, TENS hire, and even teas for those final weeks and early days. Every bit of hire income has been reinvested straight back into the service so families have everything they need for a calm, supported home birth.

But the part that means the most is the people.
The little Blue Lotus babies welcomed earthside this year.
The families who’ve trusted me at one of the most precious moments of their lives.
And the relationships and partnerships I’ve been able to build within the birth world.
