Sleep regressions causing havoc? This is for you.

It’s not uncommon for little ones’ sleep to be fine one week and then become really challenging. Short or disrupted naps are normal — your baby isn’t “misbehaving,” they’re learning new skills. It’s okay to ask for support — you’re not alone, and things can get better.

Avoid these mistakes:
• Picking them up at the first stir.
• Changing routines too often.
• Overstimulating before sleep.

Simple switches:
• Pause a moment before responding.
• Keep routines consistent and calm.
• Use familiar sleep cues — cuddle, soft song, dim lights.
• Extra practice of new skills during the day.

Dear tired mama,

Being a mum is hard. Really hard. And when you add sleep deprivation on top of it, it can feel impossible.

It’s okay to feel tired, frustrated, or overwhelmed. You’re showing up, and that matters more than anything else.

I see you. I understand. Even in the middle of the chaos, the broken nights, and the exhaustion, you are doing your best — and that is enough.💖

Be kind to yourself. Take things one step at a time. And know it’s okay to ask for support — you don’t have to do this alone.

5 Ways to Gently Extend Short Naps Without Stress 💛
Short naps are normal — even brief naps give your little one rest and help regulate their nervous system. But sometimes we all wish they’d last a little longer!

1️⃣ Watch sleepy cues – catch the right window before your little one is overtired.
2️⃣ Use appropriate wake windows – age-appropriate awake times help them settle for longer.
3️⃣ Resettle calmly if they wake – gentle touch, shushing, or a soft voice can help them drift back off.
4️⃣ Extend the nap gently – try a contact nap, feed, or rocking; consider a bridging nap or slightly earlier bedtime.
5️⃣ Don’t stress about “perfect” naps – short naps are still restorative!

💡 Extra tip: Your calm, consistent presence teaches your little one to feel safe — naturally helping them stretch naps over time.

Short naps can feel like your day is ruined… but they don’t have to be 💖

Even a tiny nap counts, and there are ways to help your little one rest longer. From contact naps, buggy naps, or gentle soothing as they stir, every bit of sleep matters — for them and for you.

Consistency is key.

Keeping to their routine, even when naps are short, helps future naps and nights run smoother.

And remember, nap time can be your time too — take a breath, grab a cup of tea, or just sit quietly for a moment.

I remember lying awake with all four of my children during night wakings… wondering if I was missing something.

Night after night, I was exhausted, struggling to function, and dreading bedtime because I knew I’d be up multiple times.

In the thick of it, I didn’t know how to improve their sleep.

The turning point came when I decided to make a change and asked for support.

It didn’t happen overnight, but slowly things started to shift: naps grew longer, bedtimes became calmer, and night wakings reduced.

I was finally able to take breaks during the day, enjoy my evenings, and feel confident I’d get the rest I needed too.

The biggest lesson I learned? Asking for help isn’t failure — it’s often the start of real change. Better sleep is possible, for your children and for you 💖
