About Vickie Wood Holistic Therapies
It all began when I first decided to learn Reiki after an event in my life which caused me to re-evaluate and think about what it was I really wanted to do. I knew of Reiki, but didn’t really understand what it is and so started to read some books about it. I learned that it was discovered by a Japanese Buddhist monk and that in Japanese language Reiki quite literally means Universal Energy:- Rei - Universe, Ki - Energy. Very quickly it became apparent to me that this was something I wanted to learn more about and so I started my journey with Reiki by enrolling in a level I course, soon followed by a level II course, with my Master Level being attained in June 2018. I also embarked on animal Reiki studies at the beginning of 2018, and am now able to practice Reiki on animals too. I love the energy of Reiki, it is a subtle, gentle and loving energy, and I always feel invigorated after sessions with clients: Some of that amazing energy stays with me too. Sometimes clients ask me what to expect when they come for a session. I simply ask them to just keep an open mind and be open to the energy. No two sessions are the same and each client has their own unique experience depending on their need. I especially love animal Reiki. Animal clients can’t be influenced into believing that Reiki is going to be good for them; the evience speaks for itself when the animal improves after a Reiki session. That’s what’s so awesome about Reiki. It goes where it needs to, based on the client’s needs.
From there, I quickly became interested in other holistic therapies and started training in further types of therapies, embarking on an anatomy and pysiology course, alongside which, I have trained in other hollistic therapies which I now offer to Clients.
I am looking forward to being able to offer further holistic therapies in 2019, including Facial Massage and Skin Care, with other therapies being steadily added over time.
So if you are looking for a unique experience or you have an animal who needs a bit of help, then perhaps a holistic treatment or Reiki is something you would like to explore in a welcoming, peaceful and safe environment.
