Imposter syndrome is wild. One minute you’re achieving things you once dreamed of, and the next you’re convinced you don’t deserve any of it.

But here’s the truth: you didn’t get here by accident.
You didn’t “luck” your way into your skills, your growth, or your opportunities. Feeling like a fraud doesn’t mean you are one. It usually means you’re stepping outside your comfort zone and that’s where growth comes.

Imposter syndrome still shows up for me, both as a Reiki practitioner and now while holding space in women’s circles.

But then I remember…
I didn’t choose this path by accident.
The women who sit in my circles, the energy I feel during Reiki sessions- that’s real and powerful. That’s connection. That’s trust.
Maybe imposter syndrome isn’t a sign to stop. Maybe it’s a sign I care deeply about what I do and understand its true value.

When bookings slow down, it hits deeper than just your calendar, especially when work is so personal, like Reiki and women’s circles. It’s not just “business,” it’s your energy, your purpose. I don’t ignore that feeling. I sit with it. But I also try hard not to let it convince me that something is wrong with me.

Today I’ve consciously had to separate my worth from my bookings. A quiet period doesn’t mean I’ve lost my ability or my impact. I have to tell myself that healing work naturally comes in waves. People seek it when they’re ready, not on a fixed schedule.

I’ve also had to reflect on my “why”, going back to what made me start offering Reiki and holding circles. My intention was always to provide safe and compassionate spaces for women to connect, expand and most importantly slow down. Perhaps the message I need to take from my musings today is that I need to slow down sometimes too.

In my role as a teacher, I’m used to leading circle time for children- songs, stories, sharing, connecting and communicating. It’s always been one of my favourite parts of my job.

Now, I’m holding circles for women. Different voices, deeper stories, the same sacred intention: to be seen, heard, and held.

The topics have changed, the conversations have deepened, but the heart of it remains- creating a space where people can show up exactly as they are.

Why a circle?
In a circle, no one is at the “front.” There’s no hierarchy, no leader above others- just people side by side. Everyone can see everyone else. Circles feel safe, they have no sharp edges, no beginning or end. Across cultures, the circle represents unity, cycles, and completeness. It reflects the idea that everyone is part of something shared.

I feel very honoured to grow, to evolve, and to continue holding circles- just in a new way!

I’d love for you to join me in circle. We gather for the first time on Friday 3rd April under the glow of the full moon in Libra. There are still a few spaces left so do get in touch if you’d like to book your space.

Blessed Ostara.

As we welcome the Spring Equinox, day and night stand in perfect balance, we are reminded that growth begins in stillness and possibility lives in every small seed.

The earth stirs.
The soil softens.
The light returns.

This is the season of renewal, fertility, and quiet magic returning to the earth. I am so ready to wake up from my Winter slumber just like our gardens are doing. I can’t wait to spend some more time outdoors and plant my own seeds for growth in my life.
