At the Baby Fayre today it was so lovely to catch up with a family that we supported a few weeks ago.

We've stayed in touch since their tongue-tie procedure, so we knew feeding had improved. The confidence and connection that has developed was wonderful to see.

Tongue-tie can affect both breastfed AND bottlefed babies!!!

Here’s a quick rundown of common signs of tongue-tie:

Difficulty latching onto the breast or bottle

Gumming or chewing rather than sucking

Clicking or smacking sounds while feeding

Short feedings or frequent feeds due to inefficiency

Trouble gaining weight or slow weight gain

Tongue appearance: the tongue may look heart-shaped or not able to move freely

Drooling or difficulty swallowing
