1️⃣ What is your role at True Physio? I am a newly qualified Physiotherapist at True Physio, having studied for the last 4 years at Keele University for an MSci in Physiotherapy. I also hold a Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage.
2️⃣ What inspired you to pursue a career in Physiotherapy? As an aspiring athlete, I’ve dealt with injuries, but physiotherapists helped me return to the sport I love—tennis. Seeing their impact firsthand, both personally and at Telford Hospital, and driven by my interest in human physiology, I was inspired to become a physiotherapist and help others overcome pain and pursue their goals.
3️⃣ What’s one of your favourite parts about helping clients? Working together as a team, seeing progression and helping towards, and achieving aspirations and goals. Whether that is as simple yet important as being able to mow the lawn pain-free, to athletic adventures and endeavours.
4️⃣ Do you have a fun fact or hidden talent? My down-the-line single-handed backhand? Sometimes it's a Federer-esque masterpiece that makes me question 'Where'd that come from?' Rare and fleeting, but can be glorious.
5️⃣ How do you like to spend your time outside the clinic? My main love is tennis, which I do as much as physically possible, sometimes a little too much, which ends up with me needing my colleagues support in quickening/managing my rehab and pre-hab. In general, I love taking part in any sport, aside from tennis, I also enjoy climbing, going for long walks with my dog, Pilates, and strength/pre-hab sessions. Apart from being active, I also enjoy taking care of my little garden at home, spending time outdoors exploring the National Trust, reading and games.
6️⃣ What’s your go-to way to stay active? Tennis, functional/pre/-rehab home workouts, walking, running, and climbing.
7️⃣ Coffee or tea? Neither, I prefer a hot chocolate.
8️⃣ If you could visit any place in the world, where would you go? Plitvice National Park, Croatia
9️⃣ Cardio or Strength Training? Both, but mainly cardio.
🔟 You couldn’t get through the weekend without? Tennis and walking my dog.
1️⃣1️⃣ What’s the most common issue you see in clinic? Neck and back pain.
1️⃣2️⃣ What do you wish your patients did more of? Listening to their body, trusting the process, and recognising that they are the expert on their own body.
