Bring your little ones along to Pilates!

Parents, I get how challenging it can be to prioritise your health and wellbeing, when childcare is such a massive barrier. That’s why I’m excited to say, all my classes are now going to be parent friendly - so just the usual Pilates classes, but you can bring your child along to join in too!

Here’s how it’s going to work :

•Kids between 8-12 can come along with you, for an extra £3, and join in on the class. All classes vary in difficulty, but modifications/challenges will be given for each exercise, allowing you to spend time together whilst also spending time on your fitness💕

•No judgement at all, I know for some kids this might feel a little daunting to start off with, so if they need you at any point, that’s absolutely fine! Breaks are always welcome, so if you need to take a breather, no worries at all! We want to build a supportive community where children can feel welcomed into the fitness industry, and not intimidated by it🤸🏼‍♂️

•All my classes are tailored to help you get stronger, move better, and feel amazing - and all at a pace that suits you! Granted you’ll feel the burn, but you’ll definitely feel better afterwards✨

These classes will give you a chance to reconnect with your mind and body, whilst taking out the stress of childcare and even maybe the guilt of having to leave your child at home, in order to prioritise your fitness! Let’s create a community where parents and children can thrive together, and help to build those foundations that will benefit you and your child for years to come🥰

Don’t forget, fitness is just a good for the mind as it is the body🤍

You can book your place through the link in my bio, and I can’t wait to hopefully see you and your little ones on the mat🧘🏼‍♀️

Adult places can be booked on the AVL website/through the link in my bio. Kids (8-12yrs) places will be £3 cash/transfer on the day. Anyone 13+ is more than welcome to book on a normal class. Any questions, drop me a message!😊

Common Pilates Myths :

•Pilates is just for women

Pilates is often seen as a female exercise method, but it was actually created by a man, Joseph Pilates, and was initially practiced by soldiers and athletes during World War 1 in the 1920s. It uses slow and precise movement to help strengthen muscles whilst building flexibility and core stability, so is beneficial to any gender!

•Pilates only works the core

A lot of people think Pilates only targets the abs, but whilst Pilates focuses on the core, it’s actually a full body workout. It strengthens the upper and lower body as well as the core, and aims to improve overall strength, alignment and posture.

•Pilates is just stretching

Some people see Pilates as just stretching and not an activity that provides much strength building, but Pilates involves precise and controlled movements that help to engage muscles in ways that build strength and endurance. Many Pilates exercises are challenging and provide enough resistance and muscle activation without having to use heavy weights.

•You need to be flexible to do Pilates

Since Pilates involves movements that stretch the body, people sometimes think you need to be flexible in order to take part. Pilates is actually really good for people with limited flexibility as it helps to increase range of motion over time. The exercises are adaptable to make them accessible to all levels.

•Only young or fit people can do Pilates.

Pilates is highly adaptable, making it beneficial to all ages and fitness levels, including those recovering from injuries, or those new to exercise.

Join me at to see how Pilates might benefit you!🧘🏼‍♀️🤍
