We believe that families should be treated with dignity and respect. This is not acceptable. You all deserve compassion not ignorance. We apologise on their behalf.

Claims it is causing 'extreme distress'. The council voted to address the issue of delays in bodies being released for funerals which is especially impacting the Muslim community.

Child loss is totally unbearable, the joy of a baby entering your life is absolutely amazing, however announcing your pregnancy at a babys funeral is totally inconsiderate. If you are friends or family with someone who has experienced the loss of their child we ask that you show compassion and consider the way in which you announce your pregnancy to them. Of course they will be happy for you but it also starts their emotional roller coaster again as they grieve their longed for child 🕊
