Anne Punton grew up in the Shetland Islands, graduated from Glasgow University, then worked in Israel and London with the Anglican church for 27 years. Due to multiple sclerosis she took early retirement in 1992, moved to Yorkshire and unexpectedly found herself married to Jack – a fit, busy, octogenarian 26 years her senior. Anne has written two books about Israel, View the Land under her maiden

name of Dexter, and The World Jesus Knew which has been translated into Spanish and Italian. She is now widowed and lives in a nursing home where, despite increasing physical disability, she continues to write and keep mentally active.
