Our Dates for May! PLEASE SHARE

What we do- As a fully neurodivergent team we support around all things neurodivergence, for all ages.

The advice we offer is always from a neurodivergent perspective, so we completely get it.

So whether you are having trouble understanding your child's or your diagnosis, or are just starting to explore and need someone to pass things by, we are here.

We are happy to talk through all areas of neurodivergence and it's all completely free!

We always have the kettle on and are ready with the biscuits (and tissues if needed).

Look out for:

👨‍🍳9:30-11:30am 5th May- Neuro Bites alongside our usual cuppa and chat.

👶 12:30-2pm 5th May- Super Sensory Seekers for neurodivergent parents or neurodivergent children. (no diagnosis needed)

🌷9:30-11:30 12th May- Menopause Knowledge CIC will be talking to us about all things menopause.

☕️9:30-11:30 19th May- Our usual cuppa and chat about all things neurodivergence.

🏳️‍🌈5-7pm 21st May- Neurozesty. A brand new space for neurodivergent LGBTQIA+ families. (age 13-17)

This Thursday!!

🎮We will have our usual consoles and board games

🎨You can paint your clay from last session or I have some wooden turtles that you can paint too.

🫶We have a sensory room and quiet space if it’s needed.

🥪We will also have ham, cheese and jam, and some fruit, snacks and drinks, if you’re feeling a bit peckish. 🍏

💡If you have any ideas of future activities you would like us to do please let us know. This is your group not ours and we are always open to ideas or projects.👍

Excited to announce that we will be hosting this session.

Makaton is an invaluable communication tool to support your family, if you have a child with communication difficulties.

There are only 10 spaces available as this is being heavily subsidised by ourselves and the family hubs will also be making a donation, this will be now free.

Attending the two sessions will gain you a Level 1 Makaton certificate.

I attended the Connecting Communities: Continuing Conversations: Mental health and wellbeing: event hosted by the Community Development Team today.
My mission was to raise awareness of the prevalence of mental health in neurodivergent individuals and share why it’s important ND is part of the discussions in these spaces.
Lots of fab organisations doing fabulous things for our community. Met lots of new people.
As always for me it was the conversations that I had with neurodivergent individuals that made an impact. It’s always great to create that space for others to open up and share and know they are not alone.
We also made it onto the “What did you most enjoy about the event? Board 🥰

Yesterday I had a conversation with one of our young people She hasn't had the easiest time in life so far but all she wants to do is help others like herself find a safe space to be authentically themselves.

After hearing her talk, I couldn't just sit back and not support her to create that space. So, today we announce the pilot of a brand new group "Neurozesty" (named by the young person and I love it!)

Neurozesty is for neurodivergent LGBTQIA+ young people, age 13-17.

This will be a fun, safe space to just to be you because there is no one else more amazing!!
It will be hosted by myself (Lisa), with the support of the young persons Mom and the young person as a Young Volunteer.

If it would be something you would be interested in please type yes, best venue (Elmwood, Riverside, Hatchford) and best day and time below x The only hub we can have evening access to is Riverside.
