We couldn’t believe our eyes this morning…. A big yellow ball of fire in the sky….at first we were afraid and then we realised that far from being a UFO 👽 or a comet ☄️, it was the SUNSHINE 😱
We know it won’t last but we thought we’d make the most of it and do a litter pick to show our local area some Valentine’s love. On our way, we hung a scavenger hunt trail of ten green hearts challenging you and your Nature Bugs to find all ten and litter pick as you go. Use the map to follow our trail in and around Dorridge or go off piste and do a litter pick anywhere you want to and send us a photo of your haul!

We started on Conker Lane and finished where we showed love for our team by treating them to delicious hot chocolates ♥️

Please TAKE CARE when litter picking, stay off the roads, don’t pick up any sharp or toxic waste, use gloves and litter picking equipment and remain vigilant of your surroundings at all times.

As a thank you for caring for our community and our planet, we will enter you into a draw and pick a winner at random to receive a gift from us. All entries must be sent by midnight on 22nd Feb 2026. Not associated with Meta. Ts & Cs apply. UK only.

This week we talked about how we can help our world 🌍
We came up with some ideas such as;
🐞 Picking up litter
🐞 Recycling
🐞 Being kind to each other
🐞 Looking after wildlife and insects
🐞 Planting seeds
🐞 Keeping lawns longer and letting the flowers grow

Can you think of any?

We had such fun today finding the squirrels lost acorns! The children got creative making acorn cakes, pies and soup. We also explored how we can move our bodies like squirrels and completed an obstacle course.
