My name is Ruth and I am a fully qualifed Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I work in and around Bury St Edmunds, with clinics in Bury St Edmunds and Thurston. I offer indiviudual therapy and can also offer home visits if this is appropriate. I am an Accredited Member of 'The National Counselling Society' and 'The National Hypnotherapy Society'. My Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy is accredi

ted by 'The Royal College of Nursing'. I am an Associate Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). People seek counselling for a variety of reasons. It is often because of the difficulties and challenges in our daily lives that sometimes become overwhelming and may impact upon our relationships, our work, and/or our personal and professional judgements. Sometimes these things may feel beyond your individual control and at this point seeking some additional help can be very useful to aid you during these times. There is a great deal of truth in the cliche 'a problem shared is a problem halved' and through either integrated counselling or hypnotherapy you can make positive changes in your life. The central aim of therapy is to provide you with an opportunity to work through difficulties in a safe and confidential environment without feeling judged. Such issues may involve areas of your life which you feel troubled by, either in your personal life or at work. Counselling can help with may things including:
Depression, Anxiety and Stress
Loss of Confidence or Low Self Esteem
Bereavement and loss
Traumatic experiences
Emotional, Physical or Sexual Abuse
Work difficulties
Relationships problems
Separation and / or divorce recovery
Self Defeating behaviours and patterns
Anger management

I am really excited to be helping out with this great event in January. Its a sort of speed dating for therapies, after years of searching out various therapies to support my mental and physical health and knowing how confusing and complicated not to mention expensive it can be, this day is an opportunity to come and meet a variety of therapists and find out which ones are most suited to your current needs. I am a believer that we all require different approaches and working collaboratively with different therpies can help us find a well rounded approach to better mental and physical health.
