MAKE PLAY DOUGH WITH MEEEEE!
A few mums asked me after the last curious cubs session how I made the playdough we used, so I thought seeing as I was making some for Sunday I would show you.
It’s gotta be the easiest and cheapest recipe ever, and takes about 5 minutes to do, if you wrap it up and put it in the fridge as well it can last for about a week or even better freeze it and defrost the night before you want to use it!
Recipe:
6x TBSP plain flour
2x TBSP salt
60-100mls water
Food colouring
Glitter (optional)
Essence (lavender, mint, orange vanilla etc also optional)
1. Add the flour to a large bowl
2. Mix in the salt
3. Add the water until you have a thick solid dough if you add too much don’t panic just balance out with a bit more flour
4. Flour the surface & tip the dough out
5. Knead until smooth and dough like
6. Make a well in the dough and add a few drops of the food colouring (and essence if using) then knead.
7. Repeat until all the dough is evenly coloured/ scented.
8. Add the glitter & knead some more
9. Wrap in clingfilm & store or use right away…
