Riverside foraging! My heart and basket are full ❤️

Loads of sweet juicy blackberries, an armful of salty triangle leaved orach, plenty of spinach beet and a little mugwort to take home.

I have spaces available for My Exeter Riverside Foraging Workshop, visit my website to book your tickets now for Saturday next week.

What would you cook with these goodies?

I love to saute spinach beet and orach with olive oil, salt, pepper and garlic for an unbelievably tasty side dish.

I'll use the blackberries to infuse a cleavers cooler drink and the mugwort will be dried to make tea.

These blackberries are the first of the season and there will be many more to make pies, crumbles, etc in the next few months.

Comment with 'interested' on this post and I'll send you a link to book your tickets for the Exeter Foraging Workshop.

Getting clever with cleavers!

Seven liters of summer left to chill in the fridge overnight for a refreshing, electrolyte infused drink.

I love to play with different foraged ingredients to create variations of the cleavers cooler.

This drink has powerful health benefits and is delicious. It's an excellent lymphatic tonic, contains potassium and has cancer fighting properties. That's before adding any other herbs, fruits, or flowers.

To make your own grab a big bunch of cleavers (sticky w**d) from high up in a hedgerow, so dogs haven't watered it. Pick a clean location away from busy roads.

Rinse off well under clean running water, leave submerged in cold water in your fridge overnight. You can add herbal tea bags, fruits, flowers or herbs to give extra flavor.

Our seven liter dispenser lasts about a week before I discard the botanicals and start again.

This mixture contains: A handful of rose petals, wild strawberries, red clover flowers, and common mallow flowers, a couple of sprigs of field mint, wild fennel and a few German chamomile flowers. I tossed in eight organic green tea bags, a lemon I'd already zested and juiced for baking, and sweetened with 1/4 cup of organic maple syrup.

Have fun making your own cleavers infusions, be sure to check you know the plant IDs are safe to use and will taste good 😜😁 do your research if unsure.

I'm running two foraging workshops in July. One in Barnstaple on the 13th and another in Exeter on the 19th. Visit my website to book your place now.

I had an in-depth, intuitive Oracle card reading with Gail at Kernow Healing Fields Festival. Gail is very skilled and our connection was powerful. The information gained was invaluable and the clarity I received on the questions asked was incredible. There was a lot that strongly resonated for me, I would 100% recommend a reading with Gail
