Wheelie Grateful are wheelie excited to announce our first fundraiser, a wheelchair time trial.
This event is kindly being hosted by Frogmary Green Farm (TA13 5DJ) on Satuday, 10th June, from 8-11am, in the yard, just up the first slope.
Here you will find Lisa, Catherine and Clare with wheelchairs, ready to time how long it takes you to push yourself in a wheelchair around the course, unaided.
To make the time trial fully inclusive there are no prizes for the strongest or fastest person.
The prizes instead will go to the three adults that come closest to the time predicitons they make when entering the time trial. In the event that we have more than three people who are equally close to their predicted times their names will go into a hat and the winner will be drawn at random to receive the prize.
For the three adults closest to their predicted times there will be event vouchers, donated very kindly by RaceNation Events. Race Nation Events run fabulous events all year round, with a focus on sustainability with a warm, welcoming and supportive atmosphere. A list of all their events can be found here:

All children taking part will recieve a small prize very kindly donated by Frogmary Green Farm. Frogmary Green Farm is an award winning farm serving some local produce in their cafe (booking strongly advisable) which you can enjoy seated or whilst exploring in their gardens. We hope our time trial will achieve three things;
To raise money for Clare to buy wheelchair equipment to allow her to rebuild her health and fitness so that she can once again take part in events and earn more medals.
To spark conversations around disability awareness amongst those who take part in our event and their wider circles with you sharing your experience of our event.
And most importantly to just have fun trying something new.
