When we needed to survey an industrial roof during nesting season, we didn't launch any slingshots... Instead, we deployed something much cooler! 🚁

Instead of playing a risky game of "dodge the angry gull," our clever ecology team deployed Bernard the drone and took to the skies!

The results?
✨ Our feathered friends stayed undisturbed
✨ Our client saved a whopping 60% on costs
✨ Health & Safety team stopped having heart palpitations
✨ Every single herring gull nest mapped with precision

For our Surveys Director Tom Griffiths, protecting people from asbestos isn't just a professional commitment - it's personal.

Twenty-five years ago, Tom lost his uncle to asbestos-related cancer after exposure in the 1980s.

This September, Tom is taking on the Great North Run, turning personal loss into positive action. Alongside eight Lucion colleagues, he'll be raising funds for Mesothelioma UK, supporting their crucial work with patients and families affected by asbestos-related cancers. 🏃‍♂🏃‍♂🏃‍♂

Every asbestos survey our colleagues at Lucion Hazardous Materials conduct, every risk identified, and every piece of guidance provided helps prevent other families from experiencing similar losses. Tom's run embodies this mission in its most personal form. 💙
