As we move into autumn NOW is the time to prepare for winter. In Chinese Medicine the energy movement is inwards as we consolidate and start to conserve our energy. We can do this with seasonal foods such as soups, stews and casseroles as well as slowing down our routines if possible. The Lungs are related to this season, so breathing exercises are especially important at this time of the year and can also have a natural calming effect. Failure to nourish and prepare ourselves now is often why we get ill in winter.
