It is with great sadness that I share with you the passing of our wonderful Bernie Bentley. Bernie was very well known and respected within the Southend voluntary community. She worked tirelessly on mental health advocacy and campaigning whilst battling with her own clinical depression and fibromyalgia. Bernie spent the last few years of her life fighting several cancers with the stong support of her family and friends. Bernie will be remembered as a beautiful soul and inspiration to all of us around her. She is already missed so much. X

Our film was premiered at a drinks reception hosted by the the Focal Point Gallery in Southend and shown on the Big Screen. Plus it featured at last year's Southend Film Festival. Please take a look and share the film amongst friends, family, colleagues, advocates and campaigners to keep the legacy going. https://youtu.be/wtfK56Jgxf4

This NHS survey to assess your mental wellbeing only takes a few minutes to complete. It may prove more relevant for those of you who are experiencing low moods, depression, anxiety and panic attacks for the first time. As anticipated, a lot of people I know are really struggling with mental health issues that have never arisen before. Stay safe. Be well.
