The recent recall of these LCD Writing Tablets (pictured) is a timely reminder to check button battery compartments are secured before giving them to a child. And watch out for loose batteries in the packaging.

Button batteries can badly hurt or kill a small child. If they swallow one and it gets stuck in their food pipe it can burn through the tissue and cause life-altering injuries or death.

So please keep button batteries out of reach of small children.
