FAQ - Is Cupping Therapy Painful

CUPPING COLOURS

Cupping marks are great indicators or a patients health from within. These marks help us understand what your body is really telling you and lets us know what areas need attention and the most help Cupping!

Did you know:

Cupping marks that display a fresh red
colour indicate a recent traumatic injury
with accompanying heat.

Black, deep purple or deep blue indicates
blood stagnation. It occurs when an
injury or illness has resided in the
body for a long time

A light pink or pale blue mark can indicate
mild coldness.

A pale or white mark that fades quickly
indicates a lack of energy and function (qi).

Crimson (or red) and white or lighter
elements represents the condition where
deficient body energy (whiteness) impedes
the blood circulation (redness).

Red dotting indicates the presence of a heat
toxin due to blockage causing pent-up
heat.

A lot of clients I've recently treated are first timer cuppers  and told me they took an interest in cupping after watching several athletes show off their cupping marks during the Olympics this year.

As well as swimmers and gymnasts, famous faces all around the world have sought and out undergone cupping treatments for a number of reasons.

As Boris announces restrictions with wearing masks and social distancing being lifted.

I want to take a moment to remind everyone of the past year and the fight we have all gone through together to protect one another

What was great to see was that hygiene and sanitisation was at the forefront of everyones minds and everyone respecting one another's personal space.

BUT Let's not also forget the family and friends no longer with us today due to the pandemic and the small businesses that struggled in lockdown. We are far from finished with Covid and the last thing anyone would want is to go back into another lockdown, especially with the weather we've been having.

So from today, clients are free to come in wearing a mask or not and if you want us to put one on, just ask!

Its all about protecting one's space and respecting everyone's well-being
