As we take down the last of our Christmas decorations, we’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to Essex County Council for providing our beautiful Christmas trees over the last few years. 🎄

They have brought so much joy, warmth and festive cheer to our residents, families and staff, creating many happy moments and memories.

Thank you for helping to make our Christmas celebrations so special.💛

We are very proud of our gardens at St George's and our residents really enjoy our regular gardening club. All the winter pots have just been potted up with bulbs and winter flowers. We have brought in the Pelargoniums which are going to live with us indoors to protect them over the colder months. Our Home Manager has signed up for an allotment in Hatfield Peverel and hope to utilise the space for residents to visit and join an allotment community. Gardening for our residents provides some gentle exercise and positive wellbeing as well as enjoying the outdoors.

The Great British Care Awards - Milton Keynes - WINNER
We attended the Great British Care Awards in Milton Keynes on Friday 31st October and are proud to announce that our finalist Charlotte Lee won The Dignity In Care Award. Charlotte will now be heading to Birmingham in February for the national finals. Huge congratulations also go to our other finalists, Sally Morgan and Hedgehog Care Team.

We have enjoyed a very "Spooky" Halloween themed coffee morning with our residents. Our dining room has been beautifully decorated celebrating Halloween and all things Autumn. Our talented kitchen team specially prepared a selection of cakes for the event which were delicious.

Our Finalists are Nikki Hayward at Foxburrow Grange for Commitment to Training and Development and Sally Morgan at St George's for the Outstanding Achievement Award. We are so proud of you both.
