I have just returned from a wondrous Yoga retreat I attended, alongside Verity, in Sri Lanka! It was such a great time for both of us to enjoy being the students and to be nourished by the practice, the beautiful setting and peaceful time and adventures for ourselves.
It highlighted for me how much a Yoga retreat invites each of us time and space to drop away the everyday habits of “doing” and experience the joy of being. A letting go of the roles we inhabit and a welcome return to Presence…to our Self.
Once again I found that one of the surprising and best parts of a Yoga retreat is the sense of shared community that develops throughout and the friendships that grow which then often continue long after the retreat has ended!
Whilst it could seem daunting to have a week full of Yoga practices each day it’s such a treat to have unhurried, attentive and spacious practice with time to also further explore more treasures of what is to be found in Yoga such as Pranayama, chanting, meditation, Yoga Nidra, Yin and Restorative Yoga and the beautiful philosophy and teachings that underlies this magnificent practice.
We are now returned home but feeling lighter and spacious from our re-set and we have the joy of slowly moving towards our own hosting of Retreats later this year.
We can’t offer a waterfall 😀 for the retreats we will be hosting in Puglia this September but we can promise a similarly wonderful time and a beautiful venue for all our attendees!
We have two retreats booked for September at YogApulia retreat centre among the beautiful olive groves of Puglia, Southern Italy
Our first week is fully booked but we still have just a few spaces left in our second week from September 19th to 25th.
Get in touch if you are curious or interested and would like any further information or assurances.
