Our residents had a wonderful time with Reggie the dog this week. He made friends with everyone, enjoyed lots of cuddles, and had the whole room laughing with his EastEnders sing-along. 🐾😁

🚨 Charity Car Wash Cancelled – Saturday 30th September 🚨

Unfortunately, due to the weather, we’ve had to cancel our charity car wash on Saturday 30th August . 🌧️🚗

We’re so grateful to everyone who was planning to come along and support us. A new date will be shared soon, so please keep an eye on our page for updates!

I’m delighted to share that Woodlands View has been awarded Runner-Up in the HC-One Gardens in Bloom competition! Out of six finalists, we are extremely proud to have achieved this recognition.

A huge well done to our amazing Wellbeing Team, whose hard work and creativity have brought so much beauty and progress to our gardens across all four houses. A big thank you also to our Maintenance Team, who regularly contribute to the upkeep and care of our gardens, and to our Unit Managers and staff teams, who have generously donated and purchased garden furniture to create such a welcoming outdoor space.

Last but certainly not least, we want to thank our residents, whose passion for gardening and daily contributions, watering plants and tending to the gardens, help ensure they flourish all year round.

This award is a real team effort, and we couldn’t be prouder! 🌿🌸

Celebrating Equality and Diversity with “Food Around the World”

At Woodlands View Care Home, we take pride in promoting equality and celebrating the diverse cultural backgrounds of our residents. To reflect this, our Chef and kitchen team have launched an exciting new initiative: “Food Around the World.”
On the second Thursday of every month, our chefs will prepare a special dish inspired by a different country. This initiative ensures we can cater to a wide range of tastes while honouring the traditions and flavours our residents hold dear.

This month, we are delighted to begin our journey with Chinese cuisine. Residents can look forward to a menu featuring:
Chicken Chow Mein
Egg Fried Rice
Sweet & Sour Chicken

Both staff and residents are eagerly anticipating this culinary experience, and we are excited to share this delicious journey together.
